I remember it very clearly, it was a normal day on 2nd February, 2016. As usual, I was working at my job at “Apang Manav Mandal”. A lady came to visit me on that day, and she was surprised looking at my condition – asked me : How do you manage to commute from home everyday? My answer was as usual, 'my father drops me everyday'. She was even much more surprised, she told me with wide eyes : 'your father drops you even at this stage of life!' I just can't explain in words that how grateful I am for what my father did to raise a handicap daughter like me. I can never pay it back even with next one thousand of my lives. Many doctors and physiotherapists ask me about my age and when I tell them that I am 50, they used to be surprised too much. Normally, a person with the handicap situation like mine would be bed ridden by the age of 35. My role for my existence as a living being is only up to breathing, all my family members, friends and well wishers work as my other limbs. Even at the age of fifty, I just feel like a small baby of five. Love from all my near & dear ones kept on increasing day by day, there is not a bit of slack experienced in that. The first thought comes to my mind, when I am writing about my father today, is : one life is short to evaluate bestowal of parents in individual's life.
