સાંજનો સમય હતો. સુરજ જાણે દરિયામાં ડૂબકી મારવાની તૈયારીમાં હતો. દરિયાના મોજાં મોજીલા બની ઉછાળા મારતા હતા. ને હેય ને ઠંડો ઠંડો પવન ગેલેરીમાં લટકાવેલ શંખ,છીપલાં અને ભૂંગળીઓથી બનેલ ઝુમ્મરને વીંધી મીઠો મધુરો રણકાર ઉત્પન્ન કરતો હતો. આવા આહલાદક વાતાવરણની મજા માણતા પ્રીતેશભાઈ ઘરની ગેલેરીમાં આરામથી ખુરશીમાં બેઠા હતા. ત્યાં અચાનક કંઇક અવાજ આવ્યો. પ્રીતેશભાઈ અવાજ સાંભળી સફાળા થઈ ગયા. ઘરમાં કોઈ ધમપછાડા કરી રહ્યું હોય એવું લાગ્યું.આથી તેઓ દોડતા ઘરમાં ગયા.અંદર જઈ જોયું તો તેમનો દીકરો અનિરુદ્ધ તેના રૂમમાં પુરાઈને ગુસ્સામાં તોડફોડ કરી રહ્યો હોય એવું લાગ્યું. અવાજ સાંભળીને ઘરમાં કામ કરતા બહેન પણ દોડીને રૂમ આગળ આવી ગયા.
