"તમારે ફોરેન્સીક લેબમાં ખુરશીમાં બેસીને કામ કરવાનું હોય છે અને અમારે પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં રાજકારણીઓ અને પબ્લીકના દબાણ નીચે કામ કરવાનું હોય છે. સૂર્યાને ક્રિકેટ કોચીંગમાં મુક્યો ત્યારે આપણે નક્કી કર્યું હતું કે એને લેવા-મુકવા જવાની જવાબદારી તારી રહેશે." પ્રતાપ પાંડેએ પત્ની વિશાખાને ગુસ્સાથી કહ્યું હતું. વિશાખા હજુ કંઇ જવાબ આપે એ પહેલા બંન્ને જણનો મોબાઇલ રણક્યો હતો. બંન્નેના મોબાઇલ ફોનમાં રીંગ વાગી રહી હતી. "જૂહુના એક બંગલામાં ખૂન થયું છે. મારે જવું પડશે." પ્રતાપે ઊભા થતાં વિશાખાને કહ્યું હતું.
