સાહસ (અંક 1) સેજલ કોલેજનાના કમ્પાઉંડના ચોકીદારની નાની કેબિન પાસેથી પસાર થઈ ત્યારે પોણા દસમાં પણ હજી બે મિનિટની વાર હતી. આજે તે કૉલેજ ઘણી વહેલી જઈ રહી હતી. હવે તે કૉલેજ તરફ, એટલે કે જમણી તરફ વળી. ચાલવાના કારણે લયબદ્ધ રીતે ડામરના રૉડ પર પડતાં તેના પગલાંનો અવાજ તેને જ સંભળાતો નહોતો કેમ કે તેનાં કાનમાં ઈઅરફોન હતાં. ઈઅરફોનનો સફેદ વાયર સેજલના લાલ ટોપથી જરા છેટો રહીને લસરતો જતો જીન્સ પેન્ટના એક ખીસામાં મૂકેલા મોબાઈલની ટોચ પરના ગોળ સોકેટમાં ઘૂસતો હતો, જે મોબાઈલના અવાજને છાનોમાનો સેજલના કાન સુધી લઈ જતો હતો અને કાનમાં એ સંગીતને વહેતું મૂકી દેતો
