इस धरती पर एक विशिष्ट प्रकार के लोग भी वसते है। यह फूस की आग की तरह होते हैं। वह झट से जल उठते हैं और फिर चटपट बुझ जाते हैं। व्यक्तियों के पीठे हर समय एक ऐसा व्यक्ति रहना चाहिए जो उनकी आवश्यकता के अनुसार उनके लिए फूस जूटा सके। जब गृहस्थ की कन्याएं मिट्टी का दीपक जलाते समय उसमें तेल और बाती डालती हैं, दीपक के साथ सलाई भी रख देती हैं। जब दीपक की लौ मद्धिम होने लगती है, तब उस सलाई की बहुत आवश्यकता होती है। उससे बात्ती उकसानी पड़ती है। यदि वह छोटी-सी सलाई न हो तो तेल और बात्ती के रहते हुए भी दीपक का जलते रहना असंभव हो जाता है।
