Shooting, champion Daniel was kidnapped by none other than Nubi Ansari. He did it so without leaving any trace. That is why Bonnie could not find him. Daniel had become very famous for his talents in shooting. His name was already there in the Guinness Book of world records. But he had to pay a heavy price for his mastery. And that price was his freedom. His fame drew the attention of Nubi and he decided to abduct him.
He arranged for the ‘offer’ letter from Dubai, duplicate plane tickets etc. and brought Daniel to Kabul in his private plane. Daniel was given the job of training Nubi’s men. Nubi wanted them to become sharpshooters like him. He had no option but to obey Nubi’s orders. On the other side, there was no complainer except Bonnie. There was no case like this in Airline history, i.e. a missing person whose name never appeared in the records of the airport. Airport authorities were also fed up of Bonne’s frequent visits. They thought her to be a dumped woman, who can’t bear the hard realities of life. Bonnie too realized the futility of her attempts and stopped coming to the airport.
Daniel was one of the team members selected for operation ‘Al Fatah’. When he boarded the plane from Kabul he had decided to escape from Nubi’s slavery. He was brought here much earlier than Thomas. He had noticed that Thomas was also like him, a captive. When the opportunity came he approached Thomas and said in a whispering voice, ‘I am with you.’ Thomas did not reply but nodded slightly. When time came Thomas posted him near NASA’s underground segment so he can help him in releasing NASA’s officials. All had gone well. Thomas’s efforts succeeded in failing Nubi’s plans. Mirza and other team members died in the attacks on Nubi’s base at Afghanistan by U.S. Army. UN Secretary-General was safely rescued. However, there was no news about Cuckoo. Hence, Thomas and Daniel said good bye to each other and went their ways to search for their respective girlfriends.
Daniel began his search with the hotel where they had spent the night together before his departure. At first the desk clerk informed that she had left the hotel same afternoon. On further prodding, he divulged the information that a call had come from Romela Town after her departure. The caller’s name was Mrs. Lucas. So that must be her mom or some close relative. He again tried to contact Mrs. Lucas, however, after two or three times of failures he succeeded in contacting her. She gave him the cell number of Mr. Brown and also his address.
He tried to contact Mr. Brown but no success. So he decided to go to the given address. When he reached there he found the house deserted. He felt hopeless. He asked to the neighbors, they told him that the family had moved out some three hours ago. On the way he kept on inquiring. At last, luckily he approached the same car coating station where Brown & family had stopped. He got an answer and he decided to drive in that direction. He drove fast.
The place in a jungle like area where Brown family was resting happened to be thug infested area. Many travelers were looted, sometimes even raped and killed.
Brown family selected a comparatively clean spot and laid mats on it and they were just ready to rest and have some food the thugs attacked them. They took their money, valuables and food. They tied up the boys and Mr. Brown to a tree and took the women with them.
Mr. Brown and the three boys strived hard to escape, eventually, since Miki’s hands were so small that he managed to escape with little effort. He then opened the ropes of Jimmy and Nikkei. Then they all freed Mr. Brown. They came up to the main road to seek a ride. They saw one car coming toward them. Mr. Brown and the boys started gesturing for lift. The car stopped. He requested for help and told him about their misery. Brown said, ‘Gentleman, they have looted us, and taken my wife and maid, please do not think much and give me a ride, their lives are in danger.’ Daniel recalled the information given by the coating station man; he had said that a car had gone this way with two ladies, three children and one man. He asked, ‘are you Mr. Brown?
‘Yes. Why? ‘And how do you know my name? He was surprised.
‘And the women are Bonnie and your wife?’
Mr. Brown was more surprised, ‘Yes. Yes’
Daniel was filled with joy, he shouted aloud in a Tarzan like manner ‘Bonny my darling, I have arrived and now you do not have to worry.’
The children and Mr. Brown adjusted themselves into the car and they moved forward as directed by Mr. Brown. They spotted Mr. Brown’s car and increased the speed. Daniel was soon able to lessen the distance between them and he started firing at the wheels. Soon one tire was punctured. The car came to a halt. The thugs were in no mood of surrendering but they were precisely injured by the shooting maestro. They ran away leaving the car. One fellow could not run and he soon fell to the ground. Mrs. Brown kicked him in the ass and could not help herself from muttering some obscenities. The ladies ran to their respective paramours. Children too were excited at this victorious adventure. Daniel embraced Bonnie. She was too emotional to say anything. She began to cry. She had never imagined that their union would materialize in such a dramatic fashion. Daniel lifted his son in his arms and kissed him many times over. He was seeing him for the first time and was overwhelmed by what he was experiencing. How he recognized him out of the three boys is a question no philosopher or a scientist could answer. They all went to a church in the nearby village. Daniel and Bonnie got married there in a simple ceremony. Then they all started their journey ahead. Mrs. Lucas was too happy to receive them with open arms, her grandson was also too happy. Days and nights were gradually becoming longer – C0 temperature was usual here. But the situation here was bearable. News of dangerous situation was constantly coming from all over the world. Under such circumstances the union of a family brings much joy and happiness in the lives of humans. Mrs. Lucas joy knew no bounds. She had all the reasons to be on top of the world.
