Kunal: hi Sonia. Hope everything is good. I wish to see you once.
Sonia: hmmm good.
Kunal: I need my books will you please give me back?
Sonia: yup I’ll send them to an office.
Kunal: no please don't tell anyone about this.
Sonia:then,what?
Kunal: give me hand over to me
Sonia: ok come over will Give u tomorrow at CCD.
Both decided to meet in evening
Sonia was upset and way too stressed out about every single detail of her life. She was not able to think rationally about any situation or circumstance and it made her feel even more miserable. She thought of meeting Kunal for he has always managed to calm her down.
They met in the evening
Sonia: hi I was waiting here for 15 min
Kunal:I am so sorry! This traffic!
Worries were quite evident on her face and she began to sob a little
Kunal: hey Sonia. What happened? – He asked in concerned tone handing her a glass of water
Please don't cry – he insisted repeatedly but that didn’t help. Kunal gave a warm hug to her patting her back . The mist of her eyes left imprints on his shirt.
Kunal: what happened? Is it related to Abhi? You can choose not to share if you are not comfortable
Sonia: no but I am worried about my life, my marriage, my job and all stuff. I am not well. I am stressed out totally.
Kunal: Stop crying. Take a deep breath. Everything is going to be perfectly fine.
Sonia: I need to go home. ByeKunal. Sorry Kunal, bye.
In between kunal cracked the joke.
Sonia listen please don’t cry “ I cant afford that mac eyeliner for you” , please smile my honey.
My litchi pulp please smile.. and calm and go home will call you soon.
Sonia : umm by..take care.
After 2 days ..
No call , no messages ..
Kunal got worried about Sonia.
Kunal walked to her seat in the office and asked her if she is fine
Sonia : yes I am good .
Kunal:I am coming at your branch in some time. We will lunch together.
Sonia smiled that reached her eyes too.
Each day coming up with a new excuse began but one fine day Sonia said -
“Kunal, we are just friends, please. I need to talk to you because we are working on same files so, I don't want our mess to our work. Be calm and work.”
Kunal: Listen, I know u love him unconditionally but I just want to be your friend nothing else I want from you. Am I still asking for too much? And Sonia cant see you upset. I don’t know why abhi and about what matter you are this much upset but I just want that pretty smile.
The insecurity has already crept into Abhi’s mind and he couldn’t think of anything else. He convinced Sonia to leave the job for his sake and Abhi would change the city and come to hers. Somewhere Abhi knew that not being able to spend enough time with her could be the trigger to this.
Sonia was drenched in the guilt of constantly being attracted to Kunal while Abhi is the one she has waited for. Owing to the insecurity Abhi is left with, he asks her to resign from the job and look for a change this will let her read her thoughts clearly.
Sonia agreed to resign and look for a switch and sooner she started informing about it to her colleagues. The news soon reached Kunal
Kunal: no don't do this I'll leave, if you want.
Sonia: No Kunal, the problem isn’t you but me.
Sonia’s resignation gets accepted however, there is a month-long notice period that she is supposed to serve before she finally bids a goodbye to the organization. Short of manpower shifted Sonia to his branch but things seemed settled now. Sonia and Abhi are more on the sorted terms. However in the due course of time Kunal confessed to her that it is getting tougher for him to actually forget her but yes, he is trying way too much to see her only as a friend and nothing more than that. Kunal helped her with gelling up with newer brand colleagues and it took her just several minutes to gel in well with them. Everyone was rejoiced to welcome her.
Days were passing beautifully. Kunal has her by his side in the office. She too enjoyed his company as they would make it a point to lunch together and in case one has to wait for office then the other would stay up as well. “The friendship was blooming from Sonia’s side while Kunal was already experiencing the fall”
It's September and it's her birthday month.
In the morning, before Sonia came in the branch birthday note that read – “You have been a pillar of strength and a feather of fragility so far. May god bless you and wish an amazingly beautiful birthday”
Sonia was clueless that who has sent the card to her.
And Sonia loves abhi a lot and abhi also have some plans for her birthday after some time again one huge bukey came to the branch. And she was shocked that what’s going on. It was very much awesome.
It’s a surprise birthday cake. She loved that thing and she was so happy.
Sonia: Kunal it oversees my bf loves me the lot on that day Kunal didn't come to that branch.
Sonia called Kunal and let him know all the things.
Kunal shouted on her that she is not good. And so many things he said to her she got hurt. But then she just loves his bf, Abhi.
She called Abhi and she tells him that I love you from the bottom of my heart. They both are happily leaving. It's time to go back home.
Only 15 days of are left in this branch for Sonia and post that she shall be hunting for a new job. They stopped talking totally they blocked each other.
Sonia crafted a mail and sent it to all the employees wishing them all the best and telling them that it was great to work with the organisation and she would cherish it lifelong. She made it a point to send the same mail to Kunal as well. Kunal gave her a call in desperation. The extent of his desperation was veiled under the screen that read “10 missed calls from Kunal” on Sonia’s phone screen
Kunal: it's u r last day?
Sonia: yes. Why did you call?
Kunal: I want to see you last time.
Sonia: no it's over. I told you.It's over before 3 months and you still there.It's over whatever with you that were good times I cherished all. But, now I feel that I happy with Abhi. Abhi is where my peace lies; where I have submitted myself and where exactly I belong to. But yes! I thank you. I thank you because of you, I realised where my soul was. It was your presence that made me realise the things I don’t want. I am glad I realised my mistake quite early. Trust me, I feel guilty. The guilt of being with you is hitting me still. So, Kunal it's over you were the best. And you are best just focus on what you want. By take care
He attempted calling again and again 5 miscalls, 10 miss calls Sonia didn't pick and lastly she blocked him from her phone and her life altogether!
After a long time say three months later she got the text from the unknown number.
It took her no time to realise who it was real.
Unknown: Hi sweets. Hope u doing well
Sonia ignored.
Unknown: Sonia. Just want to listen from u that are you ok with Abhi or not? Reply, please.
Sonia: yes all good all set. Please don't text.
Unknown: please Sonia listen I can’t live without you. I don’t know what’s wrong but let me call you once please I beg you for this .
Sonia agreed to that one last call.
Kunal: hello Sonia
Sonia: hi yes say
Kunal: You changed me. Sonia, I was the very flirty boy but you changed me I cherished all the moment that I shared with you. I know from your side it was just friendship but still I remember I know you truly love your Abhi and that’s why you never allowed me to come closer to your body and your soul but you are a wonderful human being and Abhi is the luckiest guy ever
I know I am not good as Abhi but trust me my feelings was not fake. My feelings for you and what you felt for me that was all real.It was meant to be and that happened. – He broke down
Sonia: Please Kunal, that’s all. Please stop. Don’t give me more guilt as I am already dying inside you and me because I love him I love him and I want to marry him he was my past my present and he’ll buy future anyhow.I can’t let him go and everything is good between us. I don’t mean to hurt you.
Kunal: Babe, please to listen up my heart.
Sonia: Kunal,it’s too late. Let me sleep Abhi will call me. It’s over from my side.
Sonia called Abhi and informed him all.
“Sonia Weds Abhi” their wedding preparation began with the choice of their invitation cards.
They both got their marriage fixed and their love won everything. It is true that sometimes in life you don’t realise where your heart is leading you and at that, it is best if you look into the eyes of your beloved and feel it.
