Its all about Mistake Part 2
Sonia figured out that she has merely an iota interest in him. It was just that she was attracted to him which made her feelings dizzy for the moment but now she can see the picture clearly. She knows what she wants!
The clock read 6 o’clock, a text from Kunal popped on her cell phone which read as “I cannot wait to see you”.
Sonia: Please stop. Yes I’ll meet you at 7.15 – she typed quickly
The aroma of the CCD lingered around their nostrils. She marched towards the door and saw him impatiently waiting in his plain blue shirt paired with brown formal shoes. Her heart was wilder again. She quickly came and settled in the vacant chain in front of him and flashed her wide smile. He smiled back in gratefulness. “I thought you were not going to come!” he said while they both settled down. They conversed about their hobbies, interests and like wherein Sonia told him that wishes to learn cooking well for her special someone. While conversing with Kunal handed her the book and asked her if the ring on her ring finger is the serious sign of the bond between her and someone? Sonia said nothing but nodded.
She showed her someone's picture to him and he couldn’t help but ask her f she was deadly serious for him and if there are any chances of Kunal? “We are getting married soon” she replied looking down at her coffee. “We are just good friends and nothing else in between” she further added. In the moment she opened the gallery of her phone and scrolled through the countless expressive photographs only to stumple upon her spouse. She felt a gush of love inside her veins. It felt strong again. She realized that this temporary attraction might end up hampering her commitment.
Kunal shook his head and thanked her for conveying it to him beforehand. He appreciated her honesty and said “If you ever need me, I am just an arm away”
Her phone buzzed reading his text - “Good night beautiful!”
Sonia wished him back only to remind him that there is a boundary between the two of them that she feels like keeping intact and has no intentions of erasing it in any circumstances. She began to dissect her attraction towards Kunal, it felt as if her heart always belonged to Abhi but now she it is on look out of another tenant. But, why? That is the question.
”Maybe because Abhi has been ignoring her lately” she spoke to herself “perhaps it is his rude behavior, the lack of concern towards him that is making her look for another source of love”
“There are times when your heart feels like flying, but its best keep it in cage for a while;
The weather is not always at its best after all.”
A few days passed and Kunal did not drop any text to her nor he bothered to give her a call or perhaps he bothered but he didn’t want her to be bothered! Giving up his arms and ammunition to feelings and empowering emotions he finally typed down – “I want to me you”
Sonia was perhaps missing her someone special today. She missed being pampered, being cared, being looked after. In an instant pang of momentarily empowerment emotions “YES” – she typed.
Kunal:Are you coming right I am waiting for half an hour?
Sonia: yes, yes, coming.Wait for my work about to finish.
Sonia : hi hello .
Kunal: Where is the beautiful smile?The reason of mine to meet you is that only.
Sonia didn't reply.
Kunal: Let's go inside its just7 u can leave by 7.30.
He and Sonia walked inside and he pulled chair for her in utter chauvinism
Kunal: I'll back I'll order something for us.He quickly ordered two cups of his favourite coffee and settled on the chair. The order arrived in the tray bringing a surprise to her. “That’s my favourite! Who told you about this?” she asked curiously. “Well I simply ordered my favourite and I was clueless about your kind of coffee.” He answered back.
Sonia:Coincidence maybe!
Kunal noticed that her face wasn’t as lit as is always. “What was bothering her exactly!” he wondered to himself. He asked her if she was fine mentally or if something is there to stress and stretch her?
Sonia told him about the troubles she and her special someone are going through. She shared how caring and concerned he looked at the beginning but no anymore.
Kunal: everything will be fine just give time. I am with you.
Sonia: it's 7.20 I should leave.
Kunal: ok as you wish to take care drive slow.
Please update once you reach home.
Sonia: ok thanks, Kunal.
And she moved.She rested her bag on the sofa and texted Kunal that she safely reached home. Kunal was restless that night. There was the lot to talk about but he was not able to find the right set of words. Finally, he sent the rings to her phone at 11:30pm.
Kunal called at night 11.30. She picked the phone and began to converse about things. There wasn’t anything worthwhile about the conversation but somehow both of them enjoyed each other’s company. While being on the call with Kunal, Sonia noticed that her boyfriend’s call as on waiting
“He is not going to like this,” she thought to herself.
“It is late already, we will talk later” she interrupted and he agreed to sense the time his wrist watch conveyed, yet he said “Please keep talking like this. I feel good”
She said nothing and hung up.
Meanwhile, Sonia took her phone and told the mess she was going through. It wasn’t that she had fallen out of love with her boyfriend Abhishek but it irked her more than anything seeing herself slipping off from the ground in kunal’s arm. She felt that her soul is betraying her; she felt that she was betraying her love and her commitment.
She told that they both are plainly good friends and nothing beyond that. But, that was enough for her to break down his secured walls and let the insecurity enter his heart. He clearly mentioned that this betrayal, she cannot feel for someone what she is feeling for him and perhaps it's just that her mind is tricking her creating a confusion between love and lust.
Abhi made it a point to visit her next week and Sonia was determined enough not to meet Kunal at all until she makes peace with her feelings for both of them.Abhi sorted several issues and moved back to his hometown believing that things are pretty much okay if not perfectly fine.
On the other hand, it was getting difficult for Kunal to avoid her. The days were getting difficult and with shivering hands and jittering mind, he typed – “Sonia can we meet tomorrow? Come downstairs tomorrow in lunch time”
Sonia: why this? And what happened? She asked as she met him outside the office
Kunal:I just wished to see you and this chocolate is for you
Sonia: Kunal I am glad that I took no time to realise. I am not into you anymore… I mean yes, initially I thought I have fallen for you but no. I realised where my heart went wrong. I am sorry.
Kunal: ok Sonia.It was nice meeting you. Just give me some time to move on.
She smiled faintly and moved out
Couple of days passed and Sonia once again received a text from him
Kunal – I want to meet you today after office hours. Please don’t deny, it is urgent
Sonia was too reluctant to go but somehow something in her made her move out; perhaps her residual feelings were too stubborn to let her be alone.
Kunal tried convincing her to keep in contact and his persuasion somewhere melted her heart
“I’ll think because you helped me in my worse times, you have been a friend who was there to help me out in various circumstances. I'll talk because we work together. Kunal opened the bag and gives chocolates again.
Sonia: How do you know I like KitKat?
He said I too like KitKat
Sonia: but I don't eat chocolates you know that don't buy this kind of stuff please enough Kunal.
Spare me please I love Abhi a lot. And I got him back in my life I don't want to lose him again. Sonia rejected chocolates and give him back.
Kunal: Now every single time I think, I think about you
I cannot erase the castle of memories we together prepared. I don’t know if I ever for even one moment meant anything to you but you mean the world to be and it is difficult for me to survive without you like this.I seemed like universe brought us together, can you not see the similarities? I agree that we must stop move on, stop talking each other but Sonia I can't help. I got a girl like you. You changed me.Kunal asked Sonia one thing which finds uncommon between them And they decided to write it down.
Kunal: What is that you like In lunch without you can't have food?
Sonia: interesting ok.
Both wrote curd and onion with some of the veggies.
Kunal: what the fu**. He said Sonia look what I wrote.
Sonia looks her eyes sharply widened. This can't be possible anymore
Kunal: We need to find out.
Sonia : Stop Kunal it's enough . Now this is the last meeting we are meeting it's over between us. You have so many Girlfriends. Go and get them just leave me alone. I and Abhi are good with each other Please.
Three months passed. Life seemed settled at Sonia’s end. She was fine and so was her relationship with Abhi.
