“Oh, Rajesh I am sorry. I did not mean to lower Aravind in any way at all.” She well knew how Tanuja and Rajesh did love and like Aravind. Rajesh had got that type of help from Aravind’s father. He would not bear anything criticizing Aravind’s parents or Aravind. “I just said it casually. As you have said it is just a variation of interest in liking places like these. It shall make Aravind special but not queer at all.”
“That is right” Vinod said. “Some people like lonely and faraway places since they provide complete peacefulness. In such places we can think whatever we want without any disturbance. In fact, I myself like this place. I may not like staying here forever but at present there is no problem to me to spend my time in this place.”
“Its all right. At present none of us are having any hurry to leave this place, do we?” Aravind cutting that topic in the middle said.
“We are estimating how long we can stay here in this way without any damage to our professions and other things.”Rajesh said.
“It depends. This question must be answered only by you people. How long you are thinking that you can stay here without serious damage to your professions at least.” While a small smile widening his mouth Aravind asked.
“Three days at maximum. We have shifted our in-patients to some other hospitals but we must maintain the follow up since they are our patients. And we cannot keep the outpatients as well away from the hospital for more than three days. We have to make some other important arrangements too in the hospital.” Malathi explained.
“It is a difficult thing then. If it is so we may start from here tomorrow or day after tomorrow itself” Aravind said.
“How easily you have suggested! Whether you have not considered about our predicament at all or you may have forgotten about it.” Rajesh said.
“Have I forgotten anything specific and important? What is it then? What stops us moving from here whenever we want?” Aravind questioned.
“Just guess. Break your brain. It is not very difficult to get by guessing work.” Rajesh said again.
Aravind pondered for a moment and then he said with a sigh. “Yes, it is grandma, how stupid I am that I have forgotten about her.”
“I am thinking how it would be to take grandma with us. I shall discuss this with Tanuja. If Tanuja agreed I have no problem to take my grandma with me and admit her in our hospital. It is the only way I can find out to move away from here fast.” Rajesh said. But the solution he had got suddenly did not elate him much.
“She is not suffering from any disease to admit her in a hospital Rajesh, how you are forgetting it every time?” Malathi understandably said. “You have to keep her in your home itself and engage someone to look after her”
“Then we shall do so. To that matter Tanuja would have no objection to attend the needs of my grandmother.”
“Don’t jump to conclusions. She may not like much serving your grandmother so. Very few people like to serve the bedridden and old people.” Malathi said. It was indeed irritating to her that Rajesh had got that much of confidence on his wife.
“Why you people are thinking that grandmother is bedridden? She is in a soul journey. Sooner or later she would return into her body and become normal.” Aravind said.
“You have started this again? I never believe in this type of soul journey etc.” Rajesh said irritatingly.
“Is it is wise, can we take a body with us while the soul of it is in a journey?” Malathi asked Aravind without bothering with what Rajesh had said.
“No, certainly no. That would be quite dangerous.” Aravind said.
“Are you too started asking such type of questions?” Rajesh irritated on Malathi too.
“I cannot help. Once grandma has not been suffering from any illness, I am forced to think that she is so only because her soul is in some journey.” Sighing heavily Malathi said.
Rajesh nodded his head helplessly but did not say anything.
“In my opinion it is not at all suggestible to move the old woman from here.” Aravind firmly said again.
There was full silence then. The sky thundered again. Rain started this time with full force. The violent waving air was forcing the rain water onto them and they had to move a little back.
“This rain is appearing quite ominous. When it is going to diminish?” Rajesh asked.
“I have no special powers to look into the future and say what happens.” Malathi laughed. “Anyhow considering the climate it may continue for two or three days in this way.”
“What is the news regarding the weather in the radio?” Rajesh asked again.
“I cannot guess in what type of place we are in, but the radio as well is not working here. There is no information of any type from outside. When Ratnam comes in the afternoon taking our lunch, we may try to get some information from him.” Malathi said.
“I don’t like that man and his assistant much. I have observed their looks while they were here. They devoured the beauty of women here with their eyes.” Rajesh remembered how much irritation he was felt while Ratnam telling the story of grandmother while looking at the women there especially at the girls. Ratnam and his assistant’s furtive looks enjoying the beauty of lady folk there not escaped from his sight.
“Beauty attracts people Rajesh.” Malathi said with a smile.
“What we should do now?” Before Rajesh said something to that Vinod intervened and asked. He did not like that conversation to be continued so. “What would be the best thing to do?”
“That is what we are not able to decide.” Rajesh said despairingly.
***
Sunanda’s eyes were not very wide but they were active. Her nose was not pointed but added to her beauty. Mouth would appear big and one could see her perfect line of teeth whenever she smiled. Her breasts were pointed and thrust upward and the dress she wore always appeared helpless to put them under control. Her waist was not slim but it was not very wide either. At the first look itself her beauty arrests anyone. The main difference between her and Sameera was; Sameera’s nose was pointed just like her mother. Except her stunning beauty, Sameera was in all respects just like Sunanda.
She was in the upstairs room then. She had a problem to pass time there. Even she had a problem to maintain her time in the old house in that far away village she was not feeling sorry for that at all. In fact it had given her a change. It had given her a chance to escape from the torture she was suffering every day after her affairs with boys prior to her marriage discovered by her husband.
She still could remember what Anand said to her after her sexual affairs with other boys known to him. He said that her mother kept two men in her life. She felt quite bad on hearing it so then. She had quarreled with Sameera for the same thing on that day so but she had got her own doubts on her mother. Sometimes the intimacy that her mother was having with that Rajesh making her irritated. As they both were co-doctors in the hospital some intimacy might be necessary but it need not be that much. There was another doubt which cringing her heart a lot. She could not see much difference in the appearance of her and Sameera. They both appear almost the same and equally glamorous. And her mother had got intimacy with Sameera’s father from long time back. What all this meant? Was she too a daughter of Rajesh?
Her mind in fact was in turmoil. She was trying to find a way to make it calm. She went near to the bed and examined it minutely. Someone adjusted it and it was appearing quite neat and proper again. She knew just a while back her mother and Tanuja spent some time in that room. One of them might have arranged the ruffled bed neatly again. She looked into the little verandah before that room and there was a small drizzle. She got irritation seeing the rain like that then. ‘When this rain is going to be completely stopped?’ She thought in herself. At one time she was fond of rains. Now she was getting irritation. She slowly placed her bottom on the bed. Why that old woman needed a bed like this in this room, Sunanda could not understand. This was indeed a very big house to a single woman like her. She had got her own bedding in the down stairs room. Then for whom this bed was arranged neat like this, again the same thought. She closed her eyes and fall into deep thinking. There were so many thoughts making rounds in her mind and she could not put them under control. The other problem she was facing then was she could not have the male touch for more than two days as they were in the journey to come here. Her body was aching like hell for that. What more ironical was even amidst the torture, her body wanted the satisfaction of sexual urge. Even though he made her suffer like hell with his words and bites on all over her body, Anand used to rape her savagely and gave her the fulfillment. Even she was feeling in someway happy that she could escape the torture in the hands of her husband, her body was suffering because of lack of sexual satisfaction. She was wondering whether only she or all the other girls would suffer like her.
“I suffer more than you with this lust. But I did not do wrongs as you have committed. I think it is common in men to suffer like this with sexual urge. But we don’t tend to do wrongs. Especially me. See what you did when it occurs to you. You have got it satisfied with more than one boy, was it not so?”
He said so in one of those days and she had to remain silent. Why that foolishly she blurted herself in sleep on that day? She could not get that from him on that particular day as he was moody and thinking about something else. She fell asleep while her body was aching for that. The ache produced dreams in her sleep. In that dream she went to all her boys friends and begged them to give it. She might have said that a little loudly that Anand woke up by it and heard everything. He understood everything.
“I cannot know whether I have to feel happy or sad that I have got a nymphomaniac as my wife. I am having vigor in my body that I can give it sufficient to a normal girl but I really doubt whether I can satisfy a nymphomaniac like you in full. You may have to maintain touch with your other friends as well to get it thoroughly.” She really doubted herself whether she was a nymphomaniac.
He got full angry and he did not touch her for two days after he came to know about her sexual affairs with other boys on that day. She had seen hell on those two days. Why she was feeling that much for sex she could not understand. On the third day he raped her savagely satisfying her fully and said “You are lucky. It seems I am also feeling a little like you and I have no way out as you are having.” When it was finished he said. But her body was in complete mass of pain as he had bitten on most of the inner parts of the body like a dog. He never before has bitten her like that.
