Trembling Shadows - 12

Trembling Shadows

A romantic, psychological thriller

Kotra Siva Rama Krishna

Anand was not a very handsome man. But he was tall, strong and with muscles and Sunanda expected that he would have the ability to satisfy her urge to the maximum. Luckily Anand was to her expectation. On the first night itself he made fierce and terrible love making and left her exhausted with complete satisfaction. She thought in herself without prior experience that type of love making was impossible. But considering her own wrongdoings she was not in a mood to think about that.

There was another bad habit to her. She would talk in her sleeping. She would get the day time experiences in dreams and talk in sleep. It happened so on one day while she was sleeping with him. Prior to sleep she suffered with uncontrollable urge but he was unmoody and did not cooperate with her. She fall into sleep with that burning lust and got dreams as she was making love with her boyfriends. Anand too fall asleep but woke up with her talking in sleeping like this. He came to know a considerable part of her secret life before her marriage with him through her sleep talking.

“I am not going to leave you. Whatever your past life may be, you are quite enjoyable to me. But you must tell me the truth. I am not going to take that seriously since everyone does wrongs. I myself did wrongs. I have got girl friends. I heard some while you are talking in your sleep. You have to tell me your every experience. Whatever happened in your sexual life before. But if you lie to me, or I have got a small doubt that you are lying to me, I shall leave and never allow you to enter into my life again. Just tell me all about your past sexual life.”

She did not believe him completely but there was no option left to her except narrate to him each and every sexual episode of her from the very beginning. He mused and enjoyed in himself a lot while she was explaining those matters so to him. She was made narrated some incidents again and again. Then the real torture began to her. She could not understand whether Anand had some sadistic mentality or her past life made him so.

“You are a nymphomaniac.” Looking into her eyes straightly Anand said on one day. “Women suffering with that problem cannot get satisfaction easily.”

“I don’t know about that.” Sunanda mumbled. “In my opinion every girl feels like me” Still she could remember all that had gone on that day quite clearly.

“It seems your mother also a nympho.” Making himself on the top of her he said again.

“Neither of us so as you are saying” crushing herself under his unbearable weight she said. It made her infuriated that her past sexual wrongful life for what he was torturing her so did not dissuade him from getting enjoyment from her.

“I strongly doubt that. If it is so, why she is maintaining two men in her life?” when he thoroughly made himself into her, he asked.

“What do you mean?” forcibly trying to throw him away from her Sunanda shrieked with anger.

“That Dr.Rajesh and your father. How many other men she is keeping cannot be guessed.”

Sunanda had got that much of fury and she had forgotten about her urge. She tried to throw him away using all her strength but could not move him even an inch. Anand so savagely raped her then. But on that day there was no enjoyment to her in sex. How Anand could talk like that? Who had given the authority to him to blurt like that about her mother? The way he blurted on that day was still making her feel lot angry towards him. Even she has got her doubts on her mom and that Rajesh she just could not bear his talking like that.

“What you are thinking in yourself”. Sunanda suddenly got up from the bed as she heard the voice of Anand.

“Not anything in particular” making her loosened hair into a single plait Sunanda said. Her face turned into red as she had seen him there while she was thinking of the bad episode with him.

“I think that it is very difficult to maintain your time here” looking at her askance Anand said. Sunanda knew what was coming afterwards. She did not say anything

“How you are managing yourself without having that? I know that you need it for every half an hour or so.”

“Shut up” she angrily said. She was about to say something more but Malathi entered into that room then.

“It seems that you both are arguing for something” while a small smile spreading on her lips Malathi said.

“We are not arguing. Just talking in ourselves.” Using all his power to control his irritation, Anand said.

“No surprise, even formal talking between wife and husband as well appear as quarrelling sometimes, is it is not so?” with an effort forcing a smile on her lips Sunanda said

“You are right of course. How you both are feeling here? I am already started feeling a little bore to stay here.” Rubbing her forehead with her fingers Malathi said.

“I am thinking I did a mistake by coming here in the first place. When we can move away from here?” Sunanda asked.

“In one or two days.” The troubling in her daughter was quite clear to Malathi.

“One or two days! I cannot think of how we can manage to pass our time even for this day itself.” with irritation Sunanda said.

While talking so Malathi observed her son-in-law in sideways. He was looking somewhere else with frowns on his forehead. She heard some of the conversation between them before entering into that room. She could understand that there was something seriously wrong between them both. She did not know what it was exactly until that moment but she knew it was her duty to settle that difference as a mother to Sunanda. She wanted to ask her daughter what the problem was at the first opportunity available. It was not completely unnoticeable to her that there were some differences arisen between her daughter and son-in-law but only by then she came to know that they were reached some un-adjustable stage and could not be settled without outside help.

“I am going down stairs” saying so without waiting for any reply Anand went off from that room.

“Okay mom. I am also going” Sunanda too followed her husband.

Malathi strongly felt to stop her daughter and ask her what the problem was but before she say anything Sunanda was disappeared. Malathi sighed and looked around the room. It was the first time that she had come into the room after they entered into this house. The room appearing quite neat and the cot and bed in it were marvelous. The bed would create in any one a wish to take some rest on that. Seeing the bed so Malathi suddenly felt sleepy. Yawning heavily she reached the bed and put her bottom on that, lay her back and fall asleep.

Malathi woke up. She did not sleep much time at all. Her mind was in turmoil. She loved her daughter a lot and might be because of that love she thought she spoiled her too. She knew her daughter’s weakness. She came to know that her daughter was sleeping with boys to satisfy her sexual urge. When she came to know about it she did not get angry but understood that. No mother would understand such type of a problem of her daughter but Malathi understood. It was not unnatural at that age to get a strong feeling to satisfy the sexual urge. If someone suitable was handy then it was even more natural satisfying it with him. Unluckily her daughter got the boys handy many a time when she got the urge.

She too had felt such an urge in her youth. But she could not dare or try to satisfy it then. Using all her effort she concentrated herself on the studies. She got very good marks in her tenth class. However strong the urge was, she concentrated so on studies in her intermediate too. She passed the intermediate too with wonderful marks. She wanted to do medicine.

“It is impossible” Her mother said. “You know our family is without a man. You are a fatherless daughter. I have worked very hard and got you studied this much. I cannot get that much of money to make you study medicine. You may please try for a job now. My health as well is not good. I cannot work like this anymore.”

“How do you ask a seventeen years aged girl to go for work instead of studies? You are callous.” While tears were flowing down on her cheeks Malathi said on that day.

Malathi’s mother took her near to her. “You are right darling, I am callous.” Malathi found that her mother as well was weeping then. “You need not go for work. I myself trouble some more years. You may study too. But don’t aim at medicine. It is impossible to us.” Malathi’s mother said.

“But mom, I am very much interested in studying medicine. If I joined in that course I can come out quite successfully. Please find a way to get me into medicine.” Malathi pleaded to her mother.

“But how I can? How can we get that much of money to make you study medicine? Don’t dream for impossible. I cannot say anything more than this to you” saying so on that day her mother went away from her.

Malathi was trying hard to keep her mind away from her desire to study medicine. But that desire was haunting her. It seemed impossible to get rid of it. How good it would be if a way could be found out to satisfy her desire, she thought. It was after two days or so of that conversation Malathi thought, she got waken up by her mother in the middle of the night.

“What mom, why did you wake me up now? I am feeling quite sleepy. If there is anything to talk, we shall do that tomorrow.” Malathi was really feeling very much sleepy then. It was not usual that her mother woke her up to say something in the middle of the nights but Malathi was feeling that much sleepy so she did not want to bother with her mother then.

“It is important darling. Very important” her mother paused for a moment. “It concerns your studying medicine.” Then she said.

There came immediate attention in Malathi, she sat up and she looked surprisingly and happily at her mother. “So you have found a way out for my studying medicine, is it is not so mom?” Malathi clutching her mother’s shoulders asked.

“Of course, it is so, dear” placing her hand on the smooth cheek of Malathi her mother said.

“Then tell me, how can I fulfill my long cherished wish?” jerking the shoulders of her mother Malathi asked.

Malathi’s mother took a deep breath and hissed heavily. “I have found out a way to you to study medicine. But after hearing it how you are going to react I cannot think of. It is not that much good.”

“Just tell me what it is mom. Later we shall think whether it is good or not” Malathi was not thinking about anything at all. The possibility of studying medicine made her completely happy.

“Just remember. It is just a proposal. There is no compulsion whatsoever to you to do it. If you don’t like it just say so to me and I would not raise it again at all. But first of all you have to promise me that you would not hate me or become angry with me once I have said this to you.” There was hesitation in her mother while saying this.
