Love at First Slight - 20

After arriving in the USA, Rahul made his way to the hotel where he’d be staying. The lobby was modern and stylish, with high ceilings and polished marble floors that reflected the warm lights above. He checked in and received his room key—a sleek, digital card—before heading up to his room.

His room was on one of the higher floors, offering a view that took his breath away. Through the large windows, he could see the city stretching out below him, with its mix of gleaming skyscrapers, busy streets, and tiny figures moving about. The room itself was cozy yet sophisticated, with a soft bed, a desk by the window, and all the amenities he could need to settle in comfortably. It was his first taste of American luxury, and as he dropped his bags, he felt a mix of excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead.

Rahul had enrolled in a prestigious business course known for its intense curriculum and strong emphasis on real-world applications. The program was designed to be immersive, covering everything from foundational business principles to advanced management strategies. Every day, he attended classes on topics like entrepreneurship, finance, leadership, and global economics, each taught by professors who were leaders in their fields.

One of the most challenging aspects of the course was the hands-on projects. Rahul was assigned to work in teams with classmates from around the world, each bringing their own experiences and perspectives to the table. They had to analyze complex case studies, develop business plans, and pitch their ideas to mock investors, preparing them for high-stakes situations in the real world.

Rahul quickly realized that this course was more than just academics; it was a test of his resilience, creativity, and ability to adapt. It pushed him to think beyond traditional solutions, to see opportunities in unexpected places, and to communicate his ideas clearly and confidently. This experience was exactly what he needed—not only to prepare him for his future role in his father’s business but also to give him the tools to make his own mark.

Rahul: smiling as Radha picks up the call “Hey, Radha! How’s it going?”

Radha: teasing “Oh, look who finally remembered to call! How’s the big, fancy business course treating you, Mr. CEO-in-the-making?”

Rahul: laughs “Hey, it’s intense! I barely had time to breathe today. Just got back to my room, showered, and thought of calling you right away.”

Radha: “So, you’re learning how to take over the world, huh?”

Rahul: grins

“Something like that. It’s all lectures, projects, and competition. But I think it’s what I needed, you know?”

Radha: after a moment of silence

“Rahul… we still have time together, right?”

Rahul: pauses, his voice softening “Of course, Radha. We have all the time in the world. Nothing’s going to change between us.”

Radha: relieved “Good. I was worried all this business stuff might make you forget about me.”

Rahul: smiling reassuringly “Not a chance.

You’re my best friend, Radha. No course, no job—nothing could ever take that away.”Ok ! ..
