Noah awoke abruptly, from the phone call by one of his colleagues,, the remnants of a vivid dream lingering in his mind like a fading sunset.
His heart raced, and he could still feel the warmth of Sophia’s body pressed against his, her laughter echoing in his ears. They were wrapped in each other’s arms, sharing secrets and stolen kisses in a dimly lit room.
But reality was unyielding; he blinked against the morning light streaming through his curtains, and the image of Sophia faded away.
He sat up in bed, running a hand through his tousled hair. Noah was an MBBS doctor, dedicated to his work (( and the background history given in the previous episode was just a dream)).., but Sophia, the beautiful nurse he’d admired from a distance for years, had always been a distraction. She was everything he found enchanting: passionate, intelligent, and fiercely independent.
The way she moved through the hospital, effortlessly balancing her duties while making the patients smile, captivated him. Yet, he had always been too shy to approach her, content to watch her from afar.
Noah had a crush on Sophia for upto many years and everyday he was just day dreaming about her
With a deep breath, Noah resolved to change that. He needed to make her notice him. The plan formed in his mind as he got ready for work, and by the time he arrived at the hospital, determination coursed through his veins. He found her in the break room, surrounded by colleagues, her laughter ringing like music.
“Hey, Sophia,” he said, his voice steadier than he felt.
She turned, her eyes lighting up with surprise. “Noah! Good to see you! How’s your day going?”
“Just started. I was wondering if you’d like to grab coffee later?” His heart raced as he waited for her response, his palms sweaty.
“Coffee? Just us?” she asked, a hint of surprise lacing her tone.
“Yeah, I thought it’d be nice to talk outside of work,” he replied, trying to sound casual.
Sophia’s smile widened, and a blush crept up her cheeks. “Sure, I’d like that.”
As the day wore on, Noah found himself counting down the hours until their coffee date.
His mind was filled with thoughts of what to say, how to make her see him as more than just a colleague. When the time finally came, they met outside the hospital, and he led her to a quaint café just a few blocks away.
Sitting across from her, he felt a rush of excitement. The conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and playful banter.
He shared stories about his life, and she opened up about her childhood dreams of traveling the world. With every passing moment, Noah felt the connection between them grow stronger, but doubt crept into his mind.
Just as he leaned in to compliment her on her passion for her work, her phone buzzed with an urgent message from the hospital.
He looked up to see Sophia’s expression shift to concern. “I’m sorry, I have to take this,” she said, standing to answer the call. Noah watched her walk away, feeling the moment slip through his fingers.
Would she ever see him the way he wanted her to?? ....
