Rohan had left. Kabir watched him go with a slight smile.
Kabir turned off the lamp and sprawled on the bed, stretching his legs. He felt a strange fatigue, and soon he fell asleep.
It was around midnight, and the sounds around him had faded. The entire world seemed to be entering the embrace of sleep.
Kabir was in a deep slumber.
Suddenly, he felt someone jumping on his back. Maybe Rohan had returned.
Oh! He did not like this at all. Rohan had become a trouble for him. Not only was he entangled in his own issues, but he was also disturbing Kabir's sleep.
It feels terrible when someone disturbs a person in deep sleep like this. Rohan appeared out of nowhere and jumped on sleeping Kabir, trying to wake him up.
Kabir woke up as if from a dream. He squirmed, trying to escape. But then, a spark of recognition lit up his eyes in the darkness.
The person he thought was Rohan wasn’t Rohan at all, but it was the younger master who had stealthily entered and suddenly jumped onto Kabir’s bed.
Kabir’s hand froze just before reaching the lamp switch. The person he thought was Rohan was actually the one he had been longing to meet all day long.
Kabir also embraced this shadow, which was not visible in the dark.
Lost in each other, they didn’t even realize that Rohan was outside the room and could push the door open at any moment. The door wasn’t even locked from the inside!
The bed was indeed a large double bed, but both of them lay intertwined at the same edge.
As the younger master played with Kabir's hair, he suddenly sensed that Kabir's eyes were somewhat wet. Was Kabir crying? Were these tears of joy that had unexpectedly overflowed with happiness?
The younger master wiped Kabir's tears with one hand and placed the other on his chest.
Who could say that just a few hours later, Kabir would be participating in an important international competition?
But life had perhaps entangled him in an even bigger test.
Suddenly, Kabir said to the younger master that he wouldn’t participate in the competition the next day.
The younger master couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He listened again to what Kabir had said. Kabir was saying, “Shrikant, I’m serious, I won’t step into the field tomorrow unless you agree to one thing.”
The younger master was taken aback by this proposal. It was not new that this dear friend called him by his name, Shrikant. What surprised him was that Kabir was placing a condition at such a crucial moment regarding participation in the game.
He sat down, somewhat astonished. Then, taking Kabir's hand in his, he asked him what he meant.
Without wasting a moment, Kabir said that the younger master should promise him right then that as soon as he left, he would marry Kabir; only then would he take the gun into his hand tomorrow; otherwise, he wouldn’t.
The younger master, deeply moved, planted a kiss on Kabir's lips.
Kabir quickly placed his hand on his cheek. He hoped the younger master wouldn’t lose control and that in the morning, the mischievous Rohan wouldn’t tease him.
Oh! It was getting late. Where was Rohan? Saying this, the younger master started putting on his shirt again to leave.
