Puja was going to school that day. It was after a long one month break for all of her grandmother's funeral rituals. She also had to deal with the insurance company agents. Her grandma saved a lot from her pension for her future when Puja first got to know that she was all tears that day.
"When did you save this much for this good for nothing girl grandma. I should have treated you better. I should have done all the work of the household. You have already filled in the spot of my parents."
At first Ariyan wanted to help her but Puja forbade him to come. cause she was afraid if someone knew about this rumours might spread.
That morning when she entered the school she found everyone around her is staring at her weirdly and whispering to each other. When she entered the class the class monitor came to her said:
"Why did you do it? Didn't you know it's against school mannerism?"
"What do you mean?"
"Don't act like you don't know ?"
"What's the matter with you guys? I am noticing that everyone is acting weird in the morning."
"You and Ariyan sir what's up with you guys?"
"We are students and teachers. Don't speculate on any rumours."
"Really then do you guys hug each other that tight in a student teacher relationship,when you are in the opposite gender."
Her eyes became larger when she remembered that moment when he hugged her.
"What now you understand something?"
"How do you know?"
"Someone took a photo of you two when from the outside of the building. You two should have watched out."
"How did this happen? So does the school committee fire him?"
"Thankfully not, cause even though we can tell that it was him but because of the blurry quality of the photo they can't prove that he was the one who is hugging you in the photo."
Puja gets out of the bench and runs out of the class. When the monitor also came to the corridor and asked where are you going now? It's not safe for you to roam around the school for now."
"No I have to meet him now."
"Do you think just because the school didn't fire him he still can come to school?"
"What the hell."
"That's the most important part I was going to tell you. Because of that he was questioned by the school. You know what he said?
He admitted it was him and said he had feelings for you. And because he let his personal feelings get in the way of his profession so he volunteered to quit. He resigned accepting that he couldn't Carry on his duties as a teacher whereas he was the only one who actually cared about our studies."
"I couldn't even imagine."
Puja started to cry again. Her swollen eyes which have just recovered from the pain of losing her grandma have fallen in to another wail.
That day Puja came back to school and silently came back to home. She thought maybe this time she shouldn't get closer to him anymore so she didn't find him this time.
When she was about to enter through the gate she saw that man waiting for her with his car. He had his luggages in the car also. She saw him and tears started to fell from her eyes in rage. Ariyan said
"Puja! I didn't came here to bother you. I will just take a minute........
He couldn't finish his sentence when Puja came running and hugged him.
"Puja!"
"I have resisted enough. You even resigned I heard, what were you thinking you could have just denied."
"No I did some mistake after all. It's your boards time diversing your mind to any other aspects shouldn't be expected from a teacher though."
"Whatever, can you forgive me? Because I made you react that way. I foolishly anticipated for an impossible past."
"No, my feelings were genuine. I it's all my fault because I am adult so I should have resisted earlier. I just have one thing to say."
He grabbed her face and looked at her in the eye. The sun was setting in the afternoon and a beautiful pink aroma surrounded the air of the city. When he said
"Let's meet up when we are not in this student and teacher relationship. Let's see how our hearts react in that time. If we still have fellings then we will think what to do with this damn hearts."
She smiled and cried again. He wipped her rears and said
"I leaving now to my home town. I have to study a lot to clear SSC. You also have to study hard your important exam is comming. Remember everything I taught you and don't panic. I am always with you so don't feel lonely."
He walked to his car door and turned back once when Puja saw two water drops are falling from his eyes. He smiled again and sat in the car. The car moved and started to move away from her house . She watched until it gets past to go eyesight. Puja didn't think she would meet this man again in her life.
