A heavy rain started pouring on that Sunday in chennai. People chose to stay inside the comforts of their home, instead of going outside. The local suburb of south chennai seems to be affected by the heavy rain. People in the house were busy watching the news. An Apartment in the locality of Saidapet was no different. They were watching the news too , during the evening time of that sunday. There seems to be a couple arguing about something. In the background was a news flash announcing leave for schools, colleges , private , public companies as well as banks. The couple seems to be less interested in the news, than the topic of their discussion. The servant of the house had just completed the work and was ready to go.
Ramya , the servant "Soundarya Akka, I have completed the work. I will come tomorrow."
Just then the couple broke the conversation to see her .
Soundarya "Ramya, look at your brother Sathya, he is saying he wants to go for an outing during the cyclone."
Sathya "Ramya sister, Tell soundarya that going out tomorrow in the winds would be very much of a fun."
Ramya Understood that Sathya and Soundarya had married after a long struggle for love and would often have silly fights due to their love bonding. Before she would support any one, they would reconcile with each other.
Ramya "Sathya brother, it would be unwise to go outside due to the cyclone michaung, that is going to cause heavy rain in Chennai and neighbouring cities."
Sathya seems to concede a fake defeat as he had no intention to go outside and each & every second of tomorrow with his loving wife Soundarya.
Sathya "Lets watch some movies or our wedding videos tomorrow."
Soundarya "Good, We may watch the rerun of the Love is forever web series." Both Sathya and Soundarya did not elaborate their next day plans as Ramya was still there.
Soundarya "Ramya, no need to come tomorrow or for next two days, as rains are likely for next 2 days."
Sathya "Ramya sister, also you can take leave till sunday. As we may go for a tour after the cyclone makes landfall between Nellore and Machilipatnam on December 5." He seems to be winking at Soundarya, who saw the news flashing the same lines this time on the screen .
Soundarya with a wry smile. "Yes Ramya, You can come next monday.However wait till the rain has stopped pouring. Have you covered your TVS Scooter."
Ramya "I have covered my scooter with a plastic cover."
The rain stopped after a few minutes. Ramya bid audie and went to the gate. She removed the plastic covers , packed it and kept it under the Scotters's seat. She started the scooter and waved to Sathya & Soundarya, who were watching her from the apartment. They closed the door and started watching the music channel , happily in each other's arms. Ramya called them to say , she had reached her safely, and she did not get caught in the rain. Just then the rain started. They thanked god that Ramya sister did not get caught in the rain. The Music channel now played the 'Kodala mela Koda vachu' song from the Rummy Movie, which was their favourite love song. They hoped to live Happily ever after together.
