Revenge of the Ghost - 60

My dear readers this is the last part of the story.

Manoharsinh’s face turned pale white not because of the revelation, but due to the fact that the ghost now was in her actual form. Sonal was there standing in front of Manoharsinh. Her skull was wide open and a deep gash was there which constantly oozing blood in the form of hot bubbles. The red bloody bubbles kept on touching Manoharsinh’s skin and he started to scream his lungs out, the pain was unbearable. His skin was burning and the entire room was filled with the smell of burning flesh. But this was not just flash burning, the liquid penetrated the bones and it destroyed the bone marrow too which  created holes in Manoharsinh’s body. Now the entire room is completely filled with black smoke. Nothing was visible apart from the two red eyes which were bottomless pits and soul shattering scary and Manoharsinh. Manoharsinh was able to clearly see Sonal. Sonal’s cracked head was leaking black liquid into her veins. Sonal raised her hand and her nails were looking razor sharp like a blade made up of titanium. Sonal started to swing her hands without any direction and wherever the hands landed it created a deep gash and Manoharsinh kept on screaming. Baba, Mahabali and Ravindra all were able to see a few glimpses as it was gory. There were blood droplets, smaller pieces of meat everywhere accompanied by heart breaking screams. Manoharsinh was looking like an abstract art, blood was dripping from almost a thousand cuts. There were multiple holes on his body. Then Sonal did something gruesome. She bent the legs of Manoharsinh at the angle of 180 degrees. Manoharsinh could not bear the pain and fainted.

The room was still pitch black. Mahabali and Baba knew that this was their last chance to stop the last killing. Ravindra was completely blanketing Satya and trying very hard to keep her safe. Baba spoke loudly, ‘Ravindra, I know Manoharsinh is not a good man and because of his greed and actions Sonal’s entire family met a tragic end. That is just horrific. But you are a man of law and Manoharsinh should be punished accordingly based on the law and not like this. Please gather the strength in every cell of your body and fight his. There is only half an hour left before the sunrise and after that the power of the ghost will be diminished drastically which will us an advantage and we can end this madness tonight.’ Baba knew the risks of speaking loudly as the Ghost also heard this and she screamed so ghastly that Manoharsinh came back into his senses and every cell of his body started to ache. The souls of every living being within a mile of radius shivered due to that fearsome shrieking ear deafning heart crushing sound which turned every evil memory alive in the brain of everyone who heard. Sonal turned towards Baba and Mahabali. They both knew that this would might be the last hour on the Earch for them, still they were unphased. Baba said with a mild and calm voice, ‘Sonal, revenge will not give you anything. Revenge is a deep whole and no one ever comes out of that hole. Your soul is trapped because of the vendetta you have sowed in your life. Vengeance is a double edged sword and you will also lose everything in this brutal battle.

Sonal replied, ‘ Baba what is left for me to lose. I lost everything because of Manoharsinh. Shyam saved those girls’ lives and because of the greed of this man who saw my beloved Shyam on that day and he shared this information with Surajsinh and his goons and they killed my entire family to set an example. Manoharsinh was a man of law, but he chose to side with evil and the price of that act is dearly paid by me and my family. My heart my daughter, my unborn child both are dead because of this man. And you want to save him from my wrath. This is unacceptable. I will not lose today.’

Saying that Sonal rotated her head towards Ravindra without turning her legs. It was a chilling scene as there was no black smoke anymore in the room everything was visible now.  She kept on staring Ravindra for a minute with motionless emotionless stone-cold scarry soul burning eyes. Ravindra, ‘You still looked confused that in this entire story the missing piece was who am I. Now it is revealed to you. You know Manoharsinh is the last person as I have already killed rest of them. But, you still are perplexed due to the fact that I kidnapped Satya from you but I returned her unharmed. Why did not I kill her?’ Without saying a single word the eyes of Ravindra and Satya asked that question.

Manoharsinh was conscious and he heard all of that. He started to beg, ‘Sonal please spare my life. I regret deeply about your family and I know you won’t believe me but I could never sleep peacefully since that horrendous scene. Please spare my life. I have a wife and kids to take care of. Please.’ Sonal’s heart was burning with fumes of rage and she turned back to her dire self.  She said, ‘I don’t care about anything. I am going to kill you today.’ Then she pierced her nails into Manoharsinh’s legs and kept on penetrating till she reached the bones. She pulled both the legs with an insane inhuman force and pulled both the legs out and planted them in his each palm. The scene was macabre spine-chilling. Manoharsinh was holding his legs into his hands, there was a pool of blood underneath his  body. There was a constant stream of blood coming out of various places. Still astonishingly Manoharsinh was alive and conscious. Baba soon realised that Sonal was keeping him alive to inflict maximum amount of pain.

Meanwhile, Mahabali managed to get his hands on the trident and freed himself. He did with a lot of patience as any sudden movement of noise would have alerted Sonal. Though he was sympathetic with Sonal but he could not allow anyone taking a human life. He slowly cut all that black rope like slimy material and freed Baba too. Both were cat legged and completely stealth. But the patience also came with a price as by that time. Sonal twisted Manoharsinh’s right arm and removed the arm from the socket with a brutal force. She raised the first finger of her right hand and pierced that find with that sharp long and ugly nail. She ruptured every muscle in the eye and pulled the eye out but kept a vein intact and slowly put the eye on the chick. The scene was just horrid fearsome grisly dire. Manoharsinh’s entire face was distorted due to excruciating pain. His legs were brutally broken and removed. His right hand was crushsed and removed and now his eye was hanging via a vein on his chick. His entire body was oozing blood from various cuts and bruises. His mind was constantly trying  to put the body out of this misery but somehow Manoharsinh’s mind was still active and in the constant pain baring mode. He was holding his left leg in his left hand and his remaining eye was still shaking with deep dark fear and now he was screaming to end his life rather than begging for his life.

Sonal laughed the most dubious and devilish  laugh anyone can hear and went for his heart to be pulled out from his chest cavity. Mahabali could not wait anymore as this was last and only chance to save Manoharsinh’s life. He prayed and threw the trident with his full force towards the back of Sonal hoping to pierce her heart and kill her. The timing was perfect but for whom???

The very same moment the first ray of Sun hit the room and Sonal lost her powers and vanished. Mahabali screamed with agony as the trident crenelated Manoharsinh’s heart and instantly killing him. The room was quiet. Every atom stood still. Everything was crystal clear. Sonal completed her journey of vengeance with Manoharsinh. Mahabali cried and kept on crying as he took a human life today. Ravindra was in a dilemma what to make of the situation as his heart was with Sonal and his brain was with Manoharsinh. Now, nothing could be done as Sonal was gone and Manoharsinh too. Still, one last question was there in his mind. What was the reason to abduct Satya and returning her unharmed. Ghosts were never meant to display such kindness and after witnessing the last scene he could not think anything else and silently praying the almighty God that the ghost did not harm his Satya.

He looked at Baba and Baba answered as he understood that Ravindra needed to hear the reason.  Baba said, ‘ Sonal witnessed your love so she decided to leverage the situation. As she killed a few and she could kill the remaining ones too who was involved in her family’s tragic end apart from Manoharsinh. As Manoharsinh was  now the police commissioner and living in a different city. Since he was the main perpetrator she wanted to kill him desperately. But she could not as this village was her boundary and she was unable to live this boundary. So, she hatched a plan, she knew that you would do everything in your power to safeguard everyone. Hence, she snatched Satya from you which made you vulnerable. You were unable to stop murders  and a forensic specialist a government employee was missing. So, it forced Manoharsinh to come to this village to handle the situation and Ravindra that was the last piece of puzzle in this entire journey of Sonal’s life and now our lives too.’

Mahabali came to his senses and with tearful eyes, he said, ‘Shankar, I will go to the Himalayas for my penance. I will lay my life at the feet of the lord Shiva. Bless you one last time.’ He left and Baba did not have any courage to stop him, he silently touched his feet last time and Mahabali left without leaving any trace as if he were never there. Nagesh helped Shashtriji and called an ambulance to transfer him to the hospital. Ravindra called his head office and informed about the incident removing the part where Mahabali’s trident killed Manoharsinh. Satya was feeling safe once again and her face had some weird kind of calmness as if she were smiling. Ravindra and Satya walked out of the station and settled in the jeep to go home. Satya did not speak anything. Ravindra was trying to reverse the jeep and he looked at the side mirror Satya’s reflection was there. And then for a second the mirror turned blood red and Sonal’s smiling face appeared. Ravindra felt cold and a torrent of current passed through his spine which jostled his entire body. He applied braked heavily which was a shock for Satya. She turned towards Ravindra and asked what happened.

Ravindra was confused about what he saw as he was looking at Satya’s face only and nothing else. I would like to end this story here and I would let my readers think about what just happened. It was a wonderful journey with all my readers and viewers. I enjoyed a lot and my next novel will be out soon after Diwali. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart.
