I rushed down the hallways while pushing nurses and doctors, sweat dropping from my face and covering my shirt . I was panicking and as I came face to face with the emergency room I sighed heavy breaths. Within the closed doors was a helpless Janice, covered with bandages from head to toe the doctor said someone poured acid on her . I glanced at her , she couldn't talk or move she just laid there then the machine beeped again everything happened so quickly, I was sent out of the room and before I knew it Janice was dead . The police arrived hoping I knew who did this but I couldn't even talk let alone believe it, she was gone. I drove home in silence and found Amy happily waiting for me , I broke down . . "She's dead and I couldn't save her , once again I let her down " . "It was just acid .....no way she could possibly be dead" . I looked up to her upon hearing those words , I didn't tell her anything and the news wasn't out yet they where waiting for her parents approval for this . I let her go " Amy I want you to be honest " she shrugged" how do you about Janice?" . She stared at me for some seconds then gasped " I umm... the news maybe.....she's a celebrity come on " . " That's confidential news there still waiting on her parents approval " . She then picked up a glass of wine" I don't Othniel can we talk about something else ".
Her burial was even quicker than expected. In a flash I lost almost everything. I walked around the graveyard for a while until I got myself together . I drove to Janelle's place and to mu surprise Amy was there too . " What is she doing here " . " She came to talk about business " Janelle answered while getting up to hug me . I pushed her out of the way and grab my son " one of you did it" , " your loosing your mind Otty" Amy snapped " she's gone and you can't accuse us " . " If it's not you then you know who did it " . " Put down our son and let's talk about this " Janelle tried to take Shade " our son? Your a monster Jane and I don't know what came over me but I'm taking custody " . " I raised that kid and you didn't care abit " . " I didn't know that your this terrible, I won't make the same mistakes " . I stormed off and booked a hotel where no one can find me or my son .
I woke up to knocking on my door and to my own horror it was the police " sir we need you to follow us " . No matter how many questions I asked they couldn't answer so I took my son and followed only to find out that Janelle killed Amy and shot herself. All the businesses and everything was now in shade's name . With no tears left to shade I boarded two tickets and left the city with my baby in search of a happy ending.
It started nicely iand I liked it but it ended with guilt.
