Love By Accident - 9

The next day was Sunday. Ayesha didn’t get any message from Arnav from the last evening. She thought that Arnav hadn’t found the letter yet. She was ashamed of her past behaviors. She wanted to apologize. On the other side, a delightful game was being cooked up in Arnav’s mind. Next day was Sunday and morning rituals were the same as any other day. Arnav got on the bus at about 8 am. His favorite seat, the window seat. It was something like that calls him to feel nature. He then took out his Air pods and streamed through his fav music. He then closed his eyes and got lost in his own world. After about 25 mins. the bus conductor woke him up from his dream world. He put his Air pods back into its case and then into his bag and got off the bus. During this whole incident: from getting on the bus to getting off he missed something. Someone is sitting behind his seat and constantly looking at him.   It was Ayesha. She took the bus purposefully. Her friend suggested her to come with her on her scooty but she refused because she wanted to know whether Arnav had read the letter or not. Well he didn’t know it. How would he know? He was too busy in his world.  Ayesha also got off the bus. After getting off the bus, he dialed a number. Soon after Sahil came. Both hugged each other.
Sahil: Hey bro! Long time no see. Where were you? And what about that girl.
Arnav knew that Ayesha and her friends were near them and listening to their conversation. To make it easy for them he winked at Sahil and with a little loud tone,
Arnav: Arey bro. Don’t even ask about that girl. First, I thought that she was really nice and humble. But no, not at all. She is too rude. I helped her from seniors. Again, she is blaming me. I mut have told her sorry for 100th times. But no, she is all she. What a terrible girl. She didn’t even say sorry for what she said about me. I think she has forgotten that I am her senior. Anyway, what can we do? Forget about her.
Sahil: Haan bro. Leave it. Just wish that You never meet her again.
Arnav: Haan yaar.
Sahil: By the way. What about Ridhima? She had proposed to you, and you haven’t even replied to her yet. What’s on your mind?
Arnav: You know my answer. I know that she likes me. But she is not my type. And after all I have different opinions on love. It is not like to be done. It just finds its own way. Someday I will fall in love, and I won’t get any clue about it. Same applies to you too. The universe will find its way Sahil.
Sahil: Chill Arnav Chill!!! Don’t open those shits again. Class will start soon. Hurry up or else we will be late.
Arnav nodded and both went to attend the lecture. Here Ayesha and her friends were listening to their conversation. Their lecture was also about to start. So they decided to talk in the leisure hour.
After the one-hour long lecture, Ayesha and her friends met at the library. They chose a corner row so that they could talk silently. One of Ayesha’s friends said,
Ritu: From his conversation, it seems that he hasn’t got the letter. Did you put it in the right bag or not?
Ayesha: OfCourse yaar. He was also wearing the same bag today.
Ritu: Did his parents find out?
Ayesha: No way. If his parents had known, then he would have told me about that.
Ritu: So the letter was lost!! Oh no Ayesha. What will you do now?
Ayesha: I think I should message him. It would be convenient.
Sara (her another friend): But what if it turns out to be rude? I mean go and talk to him straight and clear all the misunderstanding.
Ayesha: No! I can’t. Didn’t you listen to what they were talking about in the morning. He doesn’t want to see me.
Ritu: So write another letter.
Ayesha: What if it gets lost again.
Ritu: Write again. If you feel really guilty then write a letter.
Ayesha nodded. And all of them went to attend the remaining lectures.
Ayesha had managed to write the letter by the end of college. She got on the same bus on which Arnav went home. She carefully put the letter and the chocolate in his bag and crossed her fingers so that this time he would receive the letter.
