Fiancée
I quickly call Marlin but his phone was out of coverage area. Then I try to call Aaron, Grace and Joey but none responds. After an hour Grace calls back, I tell her that we all should meet before weekend. She asks me, why? I say that it is really urgent. Then I posted in group and wait for everyone response.
Let’s meet today in Jump yard café at 6 pm.

I text but no reply comes from Hannah’s side. I am sure she is with Victor only.

Then my boss calls me and I put down the phone. Maybe we all meet tomorrow. Why is he doing this? Is it for money? because Hannah belongs to rich family and he definitely wants to get involved in their business and this marriage will benefit him. I conclude. I must talk to Hannah, if he is having bad intentions then she should breakup with him.
When I come back from office, I lay down on my bed to relieve headache. Today, was another tiring day. I check my medical box to take pill and close my eyes. Then suddenly a thought comes to my mind and I opened my laptop and checked Victor Clarke’s Facebook account although we are not friends but still, I can see his profile as he hasn’t locked it. Nothing much I get to know about him as I expected. Then a message comes and it is from Shane

Tomorrow evening, we all will meet in Jump yard café. I handed joey’s wallet and he laughs and says, I had no money in it. But the wallet is important to me. Yaa! I know, you care about your things. Only Hannah is missing. I tell them about Victor that earlier he was after me and even few days back he was asking me to come with him for coffee. They were stunned and Grace calls Hannah and she arrives and but looks at me with disappointment.
Dear, your fiancée real name is Victor Clarke not Mike and he is not a good guy. Please Nora, I know he told me about his name. His mother calls him Mike but on papers he is Victor Clarke and yesterday only he told me about his work place. So, are you surprised? Why should I be surprised, it is just a coincidence that he works there but soon he is going to leave that office probably within a week and join my father’s business. I knew it. He is not trust worthy, I think so. I say to her while looking into her eyes. He loves me and I love him and we all have some past in our life. She finishes her sentence and asks for a mocktail from waiter. We all drink and laugh. I tell them about Mrs. Marie and they make fun of it and even my mood also lifts to become better. I thinking even in friendship there is also an invisible arbitrary line. And we should not cross it.
I get a call from veterinary centre that my dog Brownie is now fine. Kindly come and take him. I say bye and leave for centre. As I reach doctor gave me updates about his health. His vocal cord is weak so he will not be able to bark like earlier. In fact, he has amazing smelling power. Though nothing to worry but take care of him. I carry him and hire a taxi to reach my apartment. I notice someone opening Mrs. Marie home. I ask him, is Mrs. Marie back? Seeing my curiosity he replies no, police is trying hard. Who are you? I am her son George. Oh! hi nice to meet you. It’s very sad that your mother is missing. Yes, his face falls. Do you want something? I ask. I have come to collect something afterwards I leave. Thanks for asking. He goes inside and closes the door because he is not talkative like his mother. I come back to my apartment and keep Brownie in his bed, give him water and he sleeps.
Next morning, I see victor in office laughing and gossiping with other staff. When they look at me, they start giggling and very slowly talk to each other as if they were talking about me. What the hell! Who cares? I come and sit in my cabin and start working. Victor is on notice period because he has given resignation that’s why he fluttering like a bee in the office. I inform Mr Ethan that he has to finish his suppliers listing pending work. He calls him and asks to complete the work before leaving. When he comes to my cabin for signing some file. I stare him and he smiles. You should handle Hannah with care as you already know I am her friend. Only yesterday I come to know that you both are friends, if that day you had come, I would have known this earlier. He again smiles. I don’t like his creepy smile. She didn’t tell you that day that I am her friend. No, that day I met your other friends and left. When we both were on a holiday for two days then she showed me the pictures of her friends and entire family. Good! I sign the files and ask him to leave.
After few minutes Margaret rushes into my office. What happen? Is everything fine? Nora, did you talk about your dinner date with boss in office beside me? No, why would I? But tell me why are you asking this? Whole office knows about it and they are gossiping about you. About what? that why you got promotion because you slept with your boss.
