I smiled and entered the office with a cup of coffee.
"Good afternoon Sir, are you feeling better today?"
I am relieved his back at least there would be too much work for me.
He looked up from the computer with a small smile.
"Well it looks like someone's cheerful today, did you miss me?"
He looks all better now, at least he rested well
"Yes I did, I am happy you are back. Miss Sydney wouldn't stop disturbing me ever since she learnt you weren't around, she comes almost every day to see if you are back, she calls me every time to insult me and she also chased me down the halls, well she didn't really chased me I just saw her and ran away then my heels broke then I fell...I am just telling you so you could help me talk to her?" I said
Maybe that's why he is always grumpy.
"Pfft Bahahahaha" He started laughing.
I signed.
Maybe I shouldn't have told him that but I just wanted him clear some misunderstanding she has.
I waited for a while until he was done laughing.
"I am sorry, I couldn't hold it in..." He wiped a tear from his eyes.
"...don't worry I would talk to her"
"Thank you, you would be having your head shoot by 3:30 pm, don't worry I already took some notes from your previous meetings and- " I look up to see him staring at me.
Is he even listening?
"Sir?"
"Hmm?"
Anytime he does that he isn't listening.
I snap my fingers in front of him and I think that brought him back
"Sir I was just reading you your agenda for today, I said you would be having your photo shoot by 3:30 pm, don't worry I already took some notes from your previous meetings and submit your presentation by 5pm" I explained.
"Ok thanks, but I must say you are getting better at this job" He complimented me.
"Yes I-" Someone started knocking on the door I went to check who was that.
I was Miss Sydney. Why now?
Good aft-" she pushed me and passed by me.
"Kelvin you are back, I missed you" She said rubbing his arm trying to flirt with him.
I felt annoyed.
"Err sir I would come back a bit later" I said and was about to leave"
"No Alexa stay we haven't finished talking"
But we have.
He removed his arm from her gasp "Sydney you can't just come in here and push my assistant, so you must either apologise or leave" He said.
Is he defending me?
She scrunched her face in disgust.
"Why are you defending her?"
"You know it's not fair besides I heard you also gave her a hard time with her work" He said looking expressionless.
Sydney glared at me.
What's he doing? I wanted him to talk things out with her but I didn't mean like this.
"So you better apologise or leave and don't even think of coming back here" He said.
She signed in annoyance. "Fine, I am sorry" She says.
She doesn't mean it but I will just take it like that.
"There is no problem Miss Sydney, well I would be going now" I said then left.
"Phew"
"I am telling you Kelvin she is just a gold digger!"
"What in the world is wrong with you, do you want to die or what?" I was a bit shocked when I heard that.
Well I better get going, I just can't help but ears drop sometimes.

"No Sam you can't stay here while I am away" I said putting somethings in my hand bag.
"Why! you are going out to a party and you want me to stay alone with my brother?"
"What's so wrong with staying with him?"
"Have you forgotten what I told you that time?"
"No I didn't, you said he brings his friends over on Saturdays because your parents aren't around, and they always mess up the place and your brother always speaks embarrassing things about you when you are there" I said.
"Well it's a good thing you know, so can't I just stay here I promise I wouldn't touch anything" He says.
"No"
"Where am I supposed to stay?"
"You can stay with Brittaney"
"Or I can go with you" He suggested.
"No"
"Come on pleeeeese!" He gave me the poppy eyes.
I signed "Fine but you must behave" I said.
"What are you talking about, I am always in my best behaviour" He said pretending to adjust his tie.
I rolled my eye "Let's go, I have to buy him a gift on our way"
