My Favourite English Teacher

What can I say about her, whenever I see her I see the image of my mother in her, sometimes she behaves like a good friend and sometimes she becomes a good mentor. During my student life, I came in contact with many teachers, but it is said that only a person who knows you very well can make a place in your heart. Out of all these teachers if any teacher has made a home in my heart it is my dear Alpa Madam.

On the the first day after getting admission into the B.Ed. college,I saw Alpa Madam in an English subject's lecture. At first sight I felt she is very strict in nature and very insistent on the rules. Some friends in college said that Alpa madam is angry in nature so no one dares to go and to talk to her and ask anything. But after going to her English lecture for a few days, I got a chance to talk to her and my courage opened up.

Talking to her at one point I felt that what the friends had told me about her temperament was completely wrong. Many times when I joked with her in lectures I felt as if I was talking to my mom. Seeing me talking to her like this, many of my friends would tell me that you are not afraid of madam, so instinctively I said why should I be afraid, I don't think she is angry.

There was a difficult time in my life in college time, when my mind was confused due to poor financial condition, at the same time Alpa Madam saw the pain on my face and asked me what was going on in your mind today. I told him that my dad works as a peon in the school and his salary is low and our brothers' study costs are high, so how can we live up to their expectations. She then guided me in a way that a friend would advise and took away my frustration.

When the trip of the college was planned, Alpa Madam was sitting alone on the seat of the bus and I was sitting with my friends. The bus stopped at a hotel for tea breakfast, Alpa Madam sat me down with her on the way back to the bus after tea breakfast, I will never forget that moment in my life.

On the final day of college, she also chose to dine with me at lunchtime, That moment was also memorable for me. The last day of college was also the day of her retirement, My favorite madam's favorite color was pink, so on her retirement day we packed several books in a pink gift cover. On the last day of our college and Alpa Madam's retirement, we took a photo with her in a group that we still have as a memento.

Even after college I often talk to her on the phone and she always says that college is over but you still remember me the way you were before.

Madam, the time spent with you is a memory for me that will always be in my mind and heart.

Lots of Love and Respect for you Alpa Ma'am.
