“Thanks. I’ll have to take your statement later, okay?”
“I’ll hang around after my shift is over,” Ahana promised.
“Tell the doc I’ll need to talk to him, too.”
Ahana nodded to indicate she’d pass the message. “Take care.” Ahana turned and made her way back to the ER. Ahana felt bad that Jeevika and Diya had been covering her patients all this time. But when Ahana glanced up at the clock, she stared for a moment, unable to believe that only an hour had passed since Kumar had trapped her in the way.
The rest of her shift passed by in a blur. After Ahana gave the report to the oncoming nurse, Ahana headed outside, surprised to see the bright sun. The rain from the night before had passed, giving way to a new day.
As much as Ahana wanted to go home, Ahana knew the police still wanted to talk to her and to Vikram.
Just then, Vikram joined her outside. Wordlessly, Vikram crossed over and pulled her into his embrace. Ahana leaned against him, relieved and glad to be alive.
“I’ve never been so afraid in my whole life,” Vikram murmured in her ear. “I’m thankful you not got hurt.”
“Me, too,” Ahana said, her voice was low. “I mean, I was terrified he was going to shoot you.”
“Deputy Shahil saved the day.”
Ahana couldn’t argue that one.
The parking lot began filling with cars, members of the hospital leadership team and the public relations department arriving to take charge of the situation. As they streamed past, she felt distinctly self-conscious and tried to pull away; knowing Vikram not want to be seen hugging her like this in public.
But Vikram refused to let her go. His arms tightened around her, and when Ahana looked up at him questioningly, Vikram simply smiled, lowered his head, and kissed her in full view of anyone who cared to watch.
And Ahana reveled in the sweetness of his kiss like a unknown of his this kind of feel he will express in front of everyone.
Vikram was scared of losing her, he kissed her very passionately and aggressively. Ahana try to skip the moment but his kissed made her lost in his feel.
Ahana and Vikram was confessing their feelings to each other, Diya seeing this felt bad as come to talk to Ahana.
Diya seeing them kissing throw the water on them with jealousy feeling, she walked out with anger.
Vikram seeing this get happy as he finally got the person who he loves and Diya got insulted with jealous feeling, which was making him happy.
Ahana felt embarrassed and tried to slap him but he again drags her in his arms with happiness.
Vikram barely noticed the various pairs of eyes boring into him as Vikram kissed Ahana. Only when Vikram needed to breathe did he break away and lower his forehead to rest on hers. His pulse thundered in his ear, and Vikram realized he didn’t want to let her go.
They both see each other with hestiation and awkwardness, but they were that at least feelings are same means they both are in love that to unconditionally.
