Parenting.
We have moved far away from traditional methods of parenting. It is no more the olden way where the kid used to be around her mom only.
Its main reason could be diffusion of two cultures and faster means of communication. What happens in US or UK today soon comes to India. Be it good or bad. Look at the way our dressing system has changed, particularly of females. Analogy few years back an Indian family's child in Norway was taken away from them only because the child slept with her mom. Little did the Norwaygians realized that if the child (5 .7or8 years old) sleeps with mom, love,affection, regard develops in child.
Things have changed now. We have moved far away from ourselves. We have mortgaged ourselves to lifeless things(mobile car,luxury etc). But at a cost. Today parents can't chide reprimand kids anymore. Be it an adolescent or a minor all have very low power of tolerance. Our tolerance has become so low that fights,conflicts browls take place on petty issues. Issues which are of no significance at all.
Excessive use of mobiles by immature minds has taken away their power of rational thinking, power of tolerance and judiciousness. Too much use of mobiles reduces our thinking and power of remembering. Governments in some countries have schools that teaches the ill effects of use of mobiles.one can call them rehabilitation centers.
Gone are the days when mom used to stand at the main door of the house to wait for kids to come. Since there were no mobiles, the only mobile was to pray to God for their safe arrival. It worked more faster, more accurate and with better results. It was a method of connecting oneself with Supreme power.. and when one connects himself with Him,the results are bound to be positive.
Anyway, the need of the hour is to teach values combined with scriptures and mantras. Before the advent of colonial uncultured power, the country had thousands of Gurukuls that taught values.We have to make our cutout fuse board in such a way that our kids don't cave in to adverse situations in life. Pick up any news paper of any city and one can find number of suicide cases. This is the only shortcut method being developed by our adolescents to solve the problems of life. No, this is not the way. This clearly shows some loopholes in our education system. If the youths of a country caves in to commit suicide, there is something wrong with the education system. The cosmos is filled with great cosmic energy. Just learn the simple methods (mantras,touching feet of parents and elderly people. Blessings have the power to erase the evils of life) of harnessing that energy. It is free of cost. Learn it from a self realised soul.
GGive your kids lot of love affection and good value education. Sorry to say, convent education is a colonial method of slavery and a way to spread a particular faith. It teaches nothing. Therefore, it becomes imperative for parents to teach sanatani teaching at home. It will make life of their kids a successful one.....l.m. sharma
