Jay woke up on the bed as he shot open his eyes followed by the sweatbeads on his forehead. His breathing was heavy. And he kept mumbling.
Jay: when I will get rid of this! Calm down...calm down..
He took deep breaths to make his heavy breathing normal. He woke up from the bed and went towards the bathroom and followed his morning routine. After getting ready to go he walked down the stairs. He found his mom and dad talking about something while having breakfast. And his sister 'candice' sitting on one of the chairs having her breakfast. She gave him a look which clearly said that It was something serious . Maybe the discussion was about last night , Jay thought. He walked down nervously. Maybe he knew a nuclear bomb is gonna be blasted by his Dad. He reached down tiptoing towards one of the chairs in the corner to have is breakfast. Not wanting his parents to notice him, he silently took his breakfast and started to eat. While his parents were busy minding their breakfast. Shoving a spoon of cereal he munched it silently, glaring at her sister to keep quiet. But as he stood up to keep the bowl to the kitchen counter, the spoon fell out of the bowl. Jay shut his eyes closed pressing his lips together, feeling caughted . His dad's eyes fell on him.
Dad: son I want to ask you something?
Jay turned to his dad.
Jay:yes....dad!( trying to act normal)
Dad: are you sure with your decision ?
Jay glanced at his mum and then turned towards his dad.
Jay: ummm...yes!
Dad: you are going to marry her within a week. Are you sure?
And the necular bomb has been dropped !one more move and you're gonna blast! ,Jay thought.Jay instantly changed the topic. Looking at his watch he spoke.
Jay: oh.. I'm late . I will get going. Bye Mom, Dad.
Jay rushed out of the house, leaving for work. The day went the all hectic and chaotic taking care and running after the patients and some critical surgeries. Jay was all exhausted. And to add a pinch of mock in his day Max appeared. Jay was busy changing his clothes after an operation in the changing room. Until a voice came from behind.
Max: I heard that you're gonna get married soon? Seems like Martha has to tolerate a boring person like you!
Jay turned around.
Jay: don't you have any other business rather than poking your nose in my life?
He spat.
Max: oh what could I even do ? Remember we are neighbors. So even if I don't poke a thing, your whereabouts come flying to my house.
Jay smirked internally as he knew he's not gonna marry Martha.
Jay: is that so? Then, welcome to my wedding my ex-bestfriend Max Robert!(sarcastically)
Jay left the room in annoyance. Max smirked.
Jay went home and directly went to his room. His mom asked him for dinner, but he had lost his appetite so he denied. He layed on the bed staring at the ceiling thinking about his life decesions. Is he going right or wrong? What if he suffers? What if Amy doesn't agree? He was frustrated by his thoughts so he gave up and drifted to sleep.

Days flew by and now it was the day of wedding. Jay mind was blank. Jay and Amy never meet after their official first meeting and today it was their wedding. Cause Jay was a doctor and barely could get a free time to relax so meeting up again wasn't his cup of tea , but the thing was he didn't knew anything about Amy. That day, she kept silence. Jay could only heard a word from her and that was just ' fine'. The girl just spoke a word to him . And this word changed his world drastically and end up in a wedding. Today there were everyone in his wedding. His friends, family, relatives, his neighbors and of course his enemy Max. But on the bride's side he could either see anyone. He saw Mr and Mrs park at a corner and her sister Martha who stood with a dramatic look on her face as if she really wanted to marry Jay and overacting at her misfortune . People around her looked at her with pity. There were some business partners who collaborated before had attended the ceremony. The atmosphere around was really akward for Jay.
Jay stood beside the priest. And his parents and his sister stood a little far with a bright smile on their faces. The bride had arrived . He saw Amy walking down the aisle. All alone. He wondered why Mr. Park wasn't along with her. Maybe he wasn't happy as he wanted Martha to marry , Jay thought. Amy walked down the aisle in her long white gown and her hairs all open covered with a veil accros her face. Her heels clicked on the floor. And a bouquet of flowers in her hands . Her face expression was neither happy nor sad. She had a poker face. Her body language neither showed that she was shy, she walked like a model. Her head raised straight . There was an akward silence across the hall for a while as the people gasped about her . But soon the gasps replaced with cheering sounds as Amy reached stood beside the priest opposite to Jay. The ceremony went on and Jay was all blank. He didn't even listened a word the priest was saying. He was in his own thoughts. But his chain of thoughts broke when the priest asked him if he agreed Amy to be his wife. Jay bluntly said'i do' and same was asked to Amy she blanky answered'i do'. Later the priest asked him to kiss the bride. He froze. All the guest cheered for the groom and bride. But Jay was hesitant to make a move. He constantly looked down at his feet. Seconds passed by , the priest asked him again. But his mind went blank. But suddenly Amy lifted her veil and grabbed Jay's jaw and kissed him on his cheek and stood beside like nothing happened. Amy flashed a small fake smile to Jay's parents. They smiled and clapped together with the crowd.There were sounds of clapping and cheering as the bride made a bold move. The ceremony went well while Jay was being absent minded all the time. His life turned upside down. People around greeted him and Amy with congratulations. And then his friends Emma and Noah reached to him and greeted him and Amy. Jay and Amy had a small smile on their faces. Later came the mood wrecker 'Max'. Max greeted them . He eyed on Amy. He quickly recognized her face as he had sawed her on the hospital before. But still he didn't spoke anything. And left as he felt pity on Martha's situation. He always took her side. After the greeting both of them left the hall and a car waiting outside for them. They both entered the car as the engine started.
