‘First impression is the last impression’. But my first impression was the worst one. I knock the door. ‘Come in’ Mr. Williamson replied. I opened the door and watch him sitting on his chair. He asked me to have a seat. I take a seat in front of him and I remember his face with intense anger just quarter minutes ago but he looks calm now or pretending to be calm.
He calls his secretary and ask her to bring two cup of coffee for us. And finally, he meets my eyes and said ‘Time is very precious for me Miss Sen, I hope you will remember this. ‘I am really sorry Mr. Williamson for reaching here late and creating that mess but I didn’t meant to do that’, I replied and explain myself for reaching late. His secretary interrupts us as she brought coffee for us and she went.Whatever happened is now past. So Miss Sen, You were a teacher before. Why have you left that job? He inquires. My brother got into high school in Los Angeles and I couldn’t leave him alone in this big world, he only has me. So I left that job from Atlanta, Georgia,USA and came here, I replied. Do you love children or what’s your status with them? He asked. I have been with children since three years and i interact with them so fastly , I know every likes and dislikes of them, I replied confidently. He gave a lite smile to me and it seems like he was quite impress with my answers. But he hasn’t appointed me as a nanny for his only daughter Eylul Williamson yet. He ask me to wait outside for few minutes to let him decide. I came out of his office. The terror of losing this job strike again. This job means a lot to me. It will be very helpful for me.
Ultimately, Mr. Williamson called me in and I take my seat again. I saw your documents and your answers were also perfect and I don’t think anyone better than you for this job. Hence, I am appointing you as my child’s nanny and I hope you will not make me regret my decision. Of course not Mr. Williamson, I will do my best for your child. You can directly come to my house tomorrow morning with your stuffs, he said. Sure Mr. Williamson, I replied and leave his office and I was still in shock, His words were repeating on my head, there was no limits of my happiness and I left the company to head back to home. I took a cab to home. While going home, my mind again went back to the question ‘So Miss Sen, You were a teacher before. Why have you left that job?’ and I lied. The reason for leaving that job was not my brother.I don't even have a brother. I am alone in this world, and tear fall from my eyes as I remind the actual reason that I couldn’t tell anyone. Now I lied to Mr. Williamson, I broke his trust at the very beginning but I will not do any mistake again. This is my secret and I won’t let this secret ruin my life. But What if he finds out the truth?
