BREAD SNACKS RECIPES

Whenever I am on a lookout for an indulgent and tasty snack, I quickly check if I have bread in my kitchen and that is all I ever need to prepare some of the best stating savoury snacks. Today, let’s take a deep dive into the world of bread snacks recipes that we found the easiest and they are quick too.

The evergreen garlic bread

For most of us, it was Domino’s that introduced us to the heavenly garlic bread. Now we bring to you a recipe that helps you make the delicious snack in the comfort of your own home. This recipe serves six people. You will require six slices of bread, butter, 3 tablespoon of finely chopped or minced garlic, 1 cup of grated cheese (you can either use Parmesan, mozzarella or any cheese of your choice), salt to taste, and herbs. The herbs include one tablespoon of finely chopped cilantro or parsley, oregano, and red chilli flakes. You can use the herbs to your taste and quantify it as per your liking.

Now for the recipe, Place a pan on medium heat. In a bowl, mix the finely chopped garlic and three tablespoon of butter to make garlic butter. Once the pan is hot, brush the bread on both sides with the garlic butter and place it in the pan. When the toast is crisp on one side, flip it and again brush the garlic butter over the crisp side. Sprinkle the cheese, herbs and chilli flakes to your taste. Add a pinch of salt on top. Turn the heat low and cover with a lid for the cheese to melt and check frequently to avoid burning. Serve it hot along with tomato soup or on its own. You can also serve it any dip of your choice.

Grilled cheese toast

It can be a quick snack or a hearty meal or a quick snack turned into a hearty meal. This decadent snack is loved by all and if you do all things right, I don’t see any reason to not enjoy it within the comfort of your own home. For the recipe, you will need bread, butter, and cheese, pinch of salt and green onion chopped finely for garnishing. You can also use Dijon mustard or mayonnaise, if you feel the taste compliments the grilled cheese. Now for cheese you can use any cheese of your choice but I like cheddar the best, and especially Sharp cheddar. Not the one that comes pre-shredded but the freshly shredded cheddar tastes amazing. For the recipe, if you like mayonnaise spread a little quantity of the mayonnaise on the bread. You are looking for a very small quantity. In a separate bowl, mix the freshly grated cheddar cheese with chopped green onion. Place a pan on medium heat on the stove. Melt a tablespoon of butter on the pan. Once the butter is melted, put the bread with mayonnaise side up and sprinkle the cheese on it. Make sure to add a wholesome amount. Place the remaining bread on top and once the bread below has a nice golden crust, flip the sandwich and put another tablespoon of butter in the pan. Cover with a lid. Once the bread below has a golden crust and the cheese is melted, your grilled cheese is ready. Cut it diagonally and bite into the warm sandwich. Enjoy!
