Neena's dream

We all have dreams, and we want them to be fulfilled. We want our dreams to come true but what if someone tries to make the reality seem like a dream. Neena wanted to become a painter, she had a great way of playing with colors and brushes. She won many awards in her school days yet their parents failed to see the potential in her. They wanted her to become a ballet dancer. She tried to give her heart to ballet but she could not become half as good as her dance mates.

Being the only child of her parents she did what she could to fulfill their wishes. She had to stop painting to focus on her ballet. Days passed, a ballet competition was organized by her college and she did was not good enough to participate and she knew it too but her parents wanted her to participate. She did participate but heavily criticized by the crowd. She did not like it, she did not confront her parents about this. She reached home and then she decided to take her life. She reaches to her drawer, she puts out a pen and a paper to write a note. It was a suicide note. After an hour, when her parents thought to talk to Neena, they went to her room after knocking for 5 minutes and not getting any answer from the other side. They got worried and then Neena's father tried to break open the door. When the lock was broken and the door was opened by her father, seeing her blood dripping hand her mother sprinted towards her and her father started crying and saying all the things crying out her name. And then he called the ambulance, by the moment he was talking to the hospital staff on the phone, he saw a piece of paper coming out of a book. He took the paper and kept it in his pocket and after the ambulance arrived they carefully put her inside and doctors started treating Neena. Her mother was not crying but she stood still as if she knew why did Neena do this. Then, his father remembered about the paper he put in his pocket and he opened it. What he read, he could not believe that they were the killers of her daughter. We do not know how many parents have killed their children by killing their dreams, and Neena's father was seeing themselves as one.

Few hours passed, a Doctor came out of the operation room. 'She is out of danger' as soon as she heard this. Neena's mother hugged Neena's father and thanked the doctor for saving Neena's life. They asked the doctor if they can meet her. The doctor advised them to not talk to her yet and let her rest. Both of them entered the room and after seeing her unconscious her mother started crying again. She reaches to her hold her hand and started crying. Neena's father looking at her wrist, how long was the cut. They waited for hours, and when Neena came to her consciousness she asked where is she and who are they. Her parents told her that they are her parents and she is in the hospital. The doctor came in told Neena what happened but she did not seem to remember anything as if she has forgotten everything. Her father and her mother try everything to make her remember, they showed her photos and videos of her growing up with them.

The next day, the doctor asked Neena's parents to take her home since she seems healthy and she can rest at her home and the doctor asked her parents to make her remember everything. She has forgotten everything because of the accident. Neena's father puts Neena in his car's backseat and her mother sits with her holding her hands throughout the journey to the home. Few days passed, Neena could not seem to remember anything, but she started seeing both of her parents as her real parents. When she became normal, one day her parents saw her looking at her paintings and she asked who painted them and after knowing that she was the one who did that, She was surprised. And then the other day, she saw the ballet clothes and shoes she used to wear in her practice. She wanted to do the ballet. Her parents did not stop her, in fact, they encouraged her.

This time, she was the best student among her batch mates. She started loving doing ballet. In an upcoming competition, she wanted to participate. Only a month of practice and she was among the finalists. And at the end of the competition, she won the best ballet dancer in the state. Years passed, she became one of the finest and greatest ballet dancers in the country. Her father never revealed the suicide letter to her mother or anyone else.

I wonder, what would have happened if Neena's father had shown the letter to Neena. What would have been her reaction. I let you all decide that. I think that sometimes, someone who dies does not reborn as the same person.

Thank you guys for reading this. I have never written anything before and I am sorry I am not good at storytelling it was just one of my dreams I still remember.
