Hooray!!! Finally the wedding bells are ringing. It's her big day!!!!!
We got up very early perhaps even before the sun was up.
After taking a bath we went to the beautician, who was a friendly lady in her thirties. She was our family friend. And she was doing magic with her hands.
She was wearing a royal blue gown embellished with white stone complimented with a heavy work royal blue dupatta. She was looking like a princess.
After sitting with her and helping her in dressing up I retired to the bedroom. As I was against the idea of makeup. I just settled down with kajal.
I dressed to up my red gown. I stared at myself in the mirror. The colour was suiting me very well. How come I ignore to wear this colour? Foolish me.
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. I opened it to find Ma. She came to ask if I had dressed up. She was in a wine violet salwar kameez. Indeed she looked amazing.
She was stunned and smiled at me with satisfaction.
"My girl looks gorgeous. Amaan indeed has a good taste. I was worried if it would fit in correctly. But it is perfect."
I smiled at her compliment.
"But I think something is missing." Saying this she handed over a silver necklace with white stones and wore it for me.
"Perfect."
That's my mom she foresees what I want even though she seems like she don't care for me from outside.
I went to meet Didi who was sharing the same reaction. The beautician made me sit in the chair to do a little makeup and I struggled and declined but all in vain. She promised me not to put too much. She applied lipstick, blush and compact. And within a few minutes I was looking stunning.
I was indeed very happy in my reflection.
It's time to go now.
The nikkah ceremony will start within half an hour and we all started towards the hall. Everyone were praising us, indeed we were like complementing each other.
We reached the hall in time. Fai was standing in the entrance along with Papa and Rehan uncle. They were talking with themselves and when they saw me Papa said, "My princess is very pretty today."
Fai said, "Indeed Amaan was right. You look very pretty in red. We were fighting against each other when choosing your dress. Even though I came with a pista green and pink lehenga he rejected and argued that you would look pretty on red. You are stunning Munchkin."
"Really , I loved it too."
"Yeah and hurry up the ceremony will start now. Let's go."
I went with Didi to the first floor all the while looking for Amaan. I know he must be around and I could feel someone staring. He is playing with me.
After the ceremony I guided her along with the others towards the stage. They are a lovely couple. I smiled at them as it felt like they were a match made in heaven. Even though she was nervous Jeeju tried every bit to make her smile and feel. I was admiring when I felt a breath fanning my ears. I felt tickled and an adrenaline rush over me. I heard a whisper, "What made this senorita very pretty today?"
I smiled upon recognising the person. I looked at him and smiled.
"And what made this young man to hide from me?"
I counter questioned him. He chuckled at me.
