COLOUR THERAPY OR CHROMOTHERAPY

An alternative form of medicine that treats various ailments through colour is known as colour therapy or chromo therapy. It uses light and colour to treat various mental and physical disorders of the human body through balancing the body’s chakras. Chakras are the body’s various focal points that collectively dominate the atma or the soul. Chakras are the body’s spiritual centre that helps it to balance the mind and body. Any imbalance in the chakras can affect the person negatively and adversely.

Holistic practitioners believe that colours can evoke varied response in every other person. What it means is people with different chakras react differently to different colours and hues.

Colour therapy takes note of this belief and corrects the imbalance of the body through desirable responses as per the colour in practice. There are various forms of impact colours can have for example, mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, extreme fluctuations in mood can be controlled through colour therapy.
