It was a house party and chose to stay away from drinks as usual. I went to the DJ floor and started dancing with them when someone whispered in my ear. I turned to see a young man certainly elder than us staring at us. He was way too sexy and it was too evident from his eyes too as it had some other emotion. Aiden came to us and introduce him.
"Guys this Sam my friend and Sam these are my friends." We just exchanged hand shakes. There was something wrong in the way he looked at us. But it maybe because of the drinks. I didn't want to think it further and went to enjoy the party. We played many games and this was a really good night.
It was 11 so we decided to head back to our home. Sasha found someone and she was flirting with him actually they both were. I asked Aiden to drop us when he said to wait for 10 minutes more. I told him that I am tired and need to go home ASAP. Sam went to us and offered to drive us home. Aiden agreed with it and asked us to go with him. When I was about to speak I heard my phone rang. I excused myself and went to a corner. It was an unknown number. I picked it up only to hear, "Don't go with Sam he is a trouble . Don't you dare go with him." And hanged the call, his tone was threatening and seemed angry. I decided not to disobey as I sensed some danger too.
I went to them and said that we would leave with Aiden as I am okay with it and also that I want to talk with him.
Sasha and Isha agreed too saying that they want to spend some more time. Aiden said, "If that is so I'll drop you guys and Sam you can go and thanks for asking." Sam looked angry and faked a smile. So there is a problem. I asked Aiden when he left, "How do you know , I mean how you befriended him?" He replied me, "We just met today and he helped me in arranging this party. He said that he didn't have any friends so I invited him and that's it."
"So you were sending us home at this hour with someone whom you barely know?" I asked him. "Oh come on, I think he is a good guy ." And I glared at him. After spending some time he dropped us home. We were very sleepy that the moment we went to our beds we were asleep.
The next morning I woke up as the sun rays were disturbing me. I yawned and then suddenly something replayed in my mind. "Don't you dare go with him."
I have heard this voice and it was someone whom I could never forget. But how come he be warning me and how could he know that. I was sure that this voice clearly matched with Amaan. But who could be that as I couldn't believe it could be him.
I thought for sometime and got an idea. If Amaan was in Punjab last night there could be only a person who could help and it was Mehak. I was going to dial her when Sasha came running to me, she said, "Did you watch the news? "
I asked her what happened but she just grabbed me to the TV room there Isha was also standing freezed. After looking at the TV I froze too. It said,
"Sam a man in his twenties along with two other girls were charged in the case of prostitution. They were travelling late in night at Punjab and were handed by a group of men to the police. The police found it to be true. Sam is a one of the main agent in human trafficking and is a wanted criminal. The police have said that they need to have a further interrogation and investigation to find out if the girls were victims or the real culprits."
I stated blankly , Isha tapped me and that was when I came out of my trance. What if the mysterious caller didn't warn me? Oh God I couldn't even imagine what could have happened.
Sasha asked, "If we went out with him we would be the ones instead of those girls!! Zarah what made you not to agree to go with him?"
I replied, "I just felt so."
"Maybe God is on our side.
I don't want to let them know about the mysterious caller unless I got him .
I need to call Mehak as soon as possible and she would be the one who could answer my questions. I called her and she picked up after 3 rings. "Hi my love." She said.
'Mehak I want you to help me. Do you where Amaan was last night?" I asked .
"Of course I do know." came her reply.
"Then just shoot it out."
"He was here last night in our house . He came yesterday evening."
'What?? No he can't be."
'Yeah he was here and you know what,he was so weird yesterday. When I came back after the dinner date with Aslam , he looked very angry and frustrated. He was banging his fist. Navi calmed him by saying, "She will understand and do the right thing. Dude you just relax."
"But why is she doing this",Amaan said.
After a few minutes he received a call and you know what he was smiling as if he got something back.
" Just stay there." He ordered the person on the phone. He sighed and was about to say something when he noticed me standing there. There was an awkardness in his face and asked, "How long have you been standing."
"Just came in ." I said and rushed to my bedroom.'
Who could be that girl ? This question took over all other questions in my mind. So he loves someone else now . The thought of him dating someone hurts me even he had dated a lot of girls before. So he would not be the one who called me then. It must be someone with his similar voice. I was clouded with many things on my mind when the doorbell rang . I went to open it. There stood he whom I wanted to see the most now, who could have dragged us into a lot of trouble.
