Lilith Donnie was an eight-year-old tot who lived on Hemming Lane, Starinelake. She was adventurous, beautiful, and rather adorable! She had no siblings; but she did have 2 teddy bears, and one jenny (female donkey) and her foal with her all the time! The 2 teddies, Sunshine and Coco, her jenny, Della, and her foal, Diana, were the sweetest, softest, most friendly companions Lilith ever had. As her momma and papi saw, their little girl carried either Sunny (Sunshine’s nickname), or Coco, or the 2 donkeys along with her everywhere except for school and church, since that would be too ‘disrespecfulles’, which was how Lilith pronounced disrespectful! But despite all of that, Lilith was a sweet, hardworking, loving little girl.
One night, Lilith could not sleep. She tossed and turned in bed; she tried every method possible, but she still could not sleep. She then gazed at her Sunny for a long time without blinking, and slowly, she drowsed off.
“Wake up! Wake up, up, UP!” cried a little voice beside Lilith. Lilith blinked hard and opened her eyes. “Aaahhh!” the little girl screamed, for beside her was the smallest, prettiest thing she had ever seen! The creature had beautiful, delicate little wings which fluttered like a hummingbird (very quickly). A breeze caressed Lily’s face, the scent of perfumed flowers wafted through the air, and the sound of cool, cascading water gurgled pleasantly in her ears. “Wh - where am I?” asked Lilith. “You are in Dreamoria, the land where all pleasant dreams come true. I am Misty. These are my friends: Minora and Starine,” Misty said, as two other tiny fairies arrived. “St – St – Starine?” stammered Lilith. “Like as in, Starinelake?” Hearing the word ‘Starinelake’, Starine (the little creature) screamed. “Are you from Starinelake?” Lilith nodded, only to receive another scream in return. “Oh, oh, oh! I am the fairy of Starinelake! And I am so happy to meet you!” Misty, Minora and Lilith all chuckled at Starine’s face. Soon, Minora (also known as Minnie), spoke up. “Girls let us show Lily around. She must see what a splendid place Dreamoria is!” Misty and her friend agreed, and soon, Sunny and Lily were exploring Dreamoria. (By the way, Sunshine too, came to Dreamoria with her mistress too!) They had a wonderful time.
Lilith and her teddy roamed gorgeous fields of colorful blossoms, butterflies and more. Every breath was fresh, full of life and energy to the visitor. She screamed in glee whenever Misty, Minora and Starine took her to an extra-beautiful patch of Dreamoria. All 3 fairies enjoyed their guest and her excitement very much. After an indescribable tour of Dreamoria – where Lilith even saw some of her own dreams come true! – the fairies returned Lilith and Sunny to the real world again. “Sleep tight, Lily. Hope you are ready for another adventure in our dreamy world tomorrow night!” Minora whispered. Lilith was so tired; she did not hear what Minnie said. Sunshine returned to her lifeless form once more. Misty smiled and kissed Lilith on her forehead, before heading back to Dreamoria with her friends. “Sleep tight, Lilith!” smiled Starine.
