The Blessed Child

*The Conception *
It was early in 1989 that she found out that she was pregnant, for the 4th time, already having 2 female children and a male child. There was no need for another child according to the family and it was being discussed that this fetus could be aborted.
And there, there was a couple, having lost three unborn child due to the death of the fetuses in the womb, a condition called "IUFD"...
The childless couple being in close relation to the couple thinking of terminating their fourth pregnancy by going for an abortion, had a thought. They thought of proposing the pregnant couple for donating their fourth child to them, which they anyway were going to abort...
So, the deal happened,
If the pregnant lady gave birth to a girl child, it would be adopted by the childless couple.
And if it would be born a male child, well, who would be ready to give away a male child to be adopted by some other childless couple, they would keep the second male child in their own family, of course !
And then, the time passed,on the 8th night of Navratri of that year, on 8th October, the child concerned was given birth at home only, and,
It was a GIRL...!!!
So, as decided, the baby girl was to be adopted by the childless couple, so the mother giving birth to that child considered not to breastfeed her, neither considered it necessary to vaccinate the child till 3 months after which she was 'donated' to her "soul parents".
Still, "somehow", that female child proved to be the healthiest, happiest, brightest and then, the most successful, of all the siblings....
This word "somehow" here, has a journey worth being written behind it......
* The Soul Parents *
So, the girl was happily adopted by the childless couple and was shifted to their home at 3 months of age. Everyone was so happy to have her and she was showered with lots of love by everyone in the family.
Things did change in future, which got revealed to the girl in near future, gradually, but initially everything was very "happy go lucky" in her life.
The mother, who gave birth to this girl through her heart, gave her best as a mother, to make her soul daughter a healthy, well behaved and cultured girl. At the same time, the father, for whom, probably his daughter meant his whole world, did his best to make his daughter a happy, kind hearted and honest person in life.
The girl never saw her parents fighting or arguing with each other. They loved each other a lot and thus, the girl also, was rooted with fundamentals of love in her heart and soul.
The parents taught her by themselves living as examples, various virtues and lessons of life.
The mother taught her to be precise, accurate, graceful, decent and hard working. She taught her to stand firm in hardest situations without giving up, or giving away to negative forces even when there are there are the most tempting options available. She was taught by her mother, to never compromise with one's life principles.
The father was epitome of love and care for her. Just like any other daughter, her father was her superhero. All her wishes were fulfilled by him as if she were a princess. He left no stone unturned to make her happy. He was extremely kind hearted and loving in nature. The most important lesson he taught her was, " Never expect anything from anyone, because expectations from others are the root cause of disappointments in life. If ever you want to expect anything, that should be from your own self. " He taught her to forgive, to let go and that, it needs more courage to forgive than to take revenge, so always be the first one to forgive, and also the first one to ask for an apology when wrong, to never hesitate in accepting your mistakes.
Together, they both taught her to always be grateful to God, for everything, to always appreciate the littlest good things that happen to you, to learn to be happy with whatever you have or get, along with keeping trying to achieve what you want. They taught her to give, to share, be it things or joy ! And most importantly, they taught her all this by doing it themselves or being like that themselves, rather than just telling or dictating these things to her.
She lost her father when she was 12 and her mother after another 12 years, at the age of 24...
But, the life lessons they taught her are still with the girl, deep-rooted into her heart, like her heartbeats and always be proved a light in the darkest of her times...
* The Blessed Child *
She was always a blessed child, wasn't she? The first blessing was to be born,amidst the lowest chances of survival between the social norms of hatred towards a girl child !
And then, it was a bliss to her, that she got such loving parents who nurtured her to the best of her abilities. The bestest parents in the world, about whom she is never tired of writing..!!!
She got the best atmosphere for studies, which reciprocated with her burning desire of becoming a doctor, which was also her father's last wish, last words...
She got so much to read since childhood, which helped her grow in true means, helped her develop a psychologically healthy thought process, opened up her mind to the world of imagination and sensibility, helped her become a better human being ultimately !
She got the best of friends, everywhere and always; from school, to college, to all her work places. Friends who were truest in every aspect, who helped her come out of her darkest phases of life with the hope and belief that even when there are hundreds of bad people in the world, there are thousands of good people, too !
She got the best life partner a girl could ever even dream of !!! Yes, undoubtedly, amongst the uncountable blessings of her life, her parents and her life partner are the biggest blessings of all. A life partner, who is much more than just a husband. He is her truest and bestest friend, her guide, her teacher, her companion in every adventure, her strongest support in hardest of life's challenges. Not to exaggerate, she finds every relationship of life fulfilled in her life partner, he is her EVERYTHING...
And then, when she entered her professional life, also, she got the bestest people to work with, from her first colleague to the latest ! Each one of her colleagues, juniors, seniors, everyone around her, were not just nice as coworkers, but also, nice human beings, who sometimes also became a family and friends to her...
The list of blessings is countless....
She is grateful to God for everything, since always, for since her first breath,to the present moment.
If she can describe her life in a few words, it would be HAPPY, GRATEFUL and CONTENT,
And if that also need to be shortened to just one word, it would be :
BLESSED !
