Chapter 6 – Indirect Crime
One and half year is passed after Taya’s death. Annie is focusing on the physical and weaponry training. From the past one month they are getting trained for Bomb and Land Mine.
Annie is inside the room waiting for Jay to come with food. After few minutes Jay comes in with food.
“You are leaving Annie” Jay
“What? I mean why? Where? ” Annie
“I don’t know. Albert just informed me.” Jay
“I don’t want to” Annie
He looks at her. “We don’t have a choice”
“Where am I going?” Annie
“I don’t know. They never told us.” Jay
“Remember Don’t be afraid you are going to come back” Jay
“But, Jay… I am afraid” Annie
“I know. Remember Fear is just illusion. Nothing is going to happen” Jay
He takes her to the Office. Albert gives injection to Unconscious her. Every time when there is need to send kids on mission they are made unconscious so they will not get information about where they are sent and where is the base. One man in the black suit picks her up and leaves with her.
When Annie wakes up, She looks outside the window it’s night. she looks around one man and lady are getting ready. They both are members of COA. They are in Nahamic City of Quasita country,for doing the bomb blast in “Ohito Palace”. They are going to pretend as family to enter the hotel and to keep the suitcase of bomb. They both are getting ready. Lady sees Annie is waked up.
“I’ll get her ready. Ben you check the suitcase” her name is Laila.
She is getting ready to Annie. She dresses Annie such way that three was looking like normal family. They three left the hotel. Laila is continuously holding the Annie’s hand. Man is having suitcase in his hand.
While walking she looks at down at Annie and says “Be quit”. Even though Annie haven’t talked up until now she warns Annie. After a while they enter a big Royal building named “Ohito Palace”. They are having grand celebration Performance in building. Many Royal families are going to be here.
“Hello, Welcome sir” Receptionist greets them
“We have a reservation?” Ben
“What name is the reservation under?” Receptionist
“Willson” Ben replies to receptionist. He check in the file.
“One minute sir…” Receptionist. “You are in table 32 in Class 2 sir”
“Thank you” Laila who is pretending to be Annie’s mother smiles at him.
They leave to find the table they are having around 40 tables around them lots of families are enjoying there are many children. There are lots of staff members Are available to serve them. They both sit on the table. One waitress comes to them as soon as they sit in the chair.
“Your order for is coming sir” she leaves
Annie is looking all around for the Palace. She is looking towards the people, Kitchen. She is looking other kids. That is very exciting and new for her. after a while their dish comes. Annie was continuously wondering her eyes.
“What are you looking?” Laila
“Nothing” she focuses on the eating for the first time she is ignoring the food and looking around.
After a eating three of them pay bills and leaves.
“Come again sir” Receptionist
Ben and Laila smiles and leaves. But now suitcase was not in their hand. Ben leaves that suitcase under the table. Little Annie is not having any idea why she is there what is happening she was lost in seeing peoples and building lights.
After leaving the hotel they starts to walk on the road they leave their car in hotel parking, after a while they take turn and comes in small lane. There is just one car before them. That is left for them. They sit in it and drive.
Annie is still looking outside. She is first time outside. She is amazed by outside world. Building, Peoples, Shop. Everything is new for her. Ben is driving the car. Laila is sitting near Annie. After few minute Laila opens her purse. And grabs Annie’s hand gives injection to Annie before she realize.
“Time to sleep sweetie” Laila
Suddenly they hear one blast from long distance. It wasn’t possible to recognize from where it’s coming. But they both already knew it’s from the Palace. They both smiles at each other.
“Done” Ben
Car leaves the city.

Its Afternoon Annie is still sleeping in the room. She wakes up. She realizes she is in her room. Last thing she reminds is Laila’s voice
“Time to sleep sweetie”
She realizes she is back. She washes her face. She goes outside to look for Jay. She looks towards the ground. There is no one. It is time of their theory lecture. Youngsters must have definitely training somewhere. So she stops looking for him. She is hungry. So she leaves the building.
“ohh you woke up” Raymon
Annie nods.
“Everyone is in class. But you must be hungry.” Raymon
“Yes” Annie
“Come on first have some food then you can go for lecture” Annie walks behind Raymon.
After eating food Annie decides to join the lecture she looks at the watch its 3:45 at 4 she is having sward practice training. She waits in rooms till 4 she looks around in the room. She realizes something is odd. Every morning candle stand is kept on the table instead of that it’s on the floor. Every morning Jay puts it on the table. She thinks why didn’t Jay kept it on the table? “Where is he?” lots of questions were getting generated in her mind.
Suddenly she realizes it already 4 PM so she leaves room for practice. Everyone is already there. They are happy by seeing Annie back.
“I am glad you came” Meera
Annie just smiles.
“Ok get in the line” Raymon
They start the sward practice.
At night Annie is in the room. Time is about to dinner. She is eagerly waiting for Jay to tell what she saw about people, large building, family, lights. Her eyes are towards the door. Every day Jay is the one who bought dinner for both of them. Her eyes are only on the door. Every minute she is thinking “next minute he will enter and say come on let’s eat”. But it never happened again. Next morning she asks Annisa about Jay.
“Annie. Jay and Batara both are taken for some war, on Next day you were gone. I don’t know more about it. Don’t worry they will come soon” Annisa.
Jay was gone before for war. Annie knew he will come soon. Day after day passes everyday Annie is waiting for him. He isn’t coming.
At night Annie is laying on the floor. Her eyes were on the door. She knew some day he is going to come. And suddenly someone opens the door. Annie is slept but she opens her eyes. It is Meera with dinner. Annie wakes up.
“I slept. Did I miss dinner?” Annie
“It’s okay. I bought it.” Meera. She keeps plate before her.
They both eat dinner. After dinner Meera and Annie both goes on the roof. They both were looking towards the sky.
“You are missing Jay. Right” Meera
“He really is close to you” Meera
Annie says nothing.
“I also miss my dad. I know one day I am going to meet him” Meera
Annie looks at her. I know it’s been year. I was supposed to forget them. But every night before going to sleep I repeat my last memory with them. His last words. He is Police Officer. He must be working so hard to find me. Every day I remember his last word again and again, so I will not forget him.
After school My mom was talking him on the phone. He must be asking about me. Then my mom gives me phone. I said “Hello” he said “How are you my bud?”
That triggered something in her mind. “what?” Annie looks at her.It was like Annie heard it before she was trying to remind it.
“Yes he used to call me bud” Meera
Annie was having something in her mind her eyes are tense.
“I told him we are going to garden. I was so happy” Meera
“He asked me about my homework” Meera
“He told you to have some ice-cream and said we will do homework when he will come home” Annie
Meera is in shock about her line it is same as what her said. She knew she never shared this before any one. She is confused about how she knew it. She looked at Annie.
“Annie…” she stops
Annie was looking towards jungle.
“How in the hell you know that?” Meera
Annie is now having everything in her mind. She is having not having courage to look at her”
“Your father... he is the one who sold me to COA for money. I was their when he called you” Annie
It is all silent Meera is listening to him and suddenly she grabs her hand. And slaps her very hard to Annie.
“Don’t you dare to talk like that about him? And tell him how you know what he said to me?”
Annie was looking down. Annie turns back and leaves her.
“It’s true. He made my deal and…“Annie stopped
“And what?” Meera is angry she yells at Annie.
“He’s dead” Annie left her.
Yes. I left her because I wasn’t having courage to see her or to face her. Sometimes things are not what they looks like, but we act without thinking. We blame someone else because that’s the thing we people do. I did Blamed that officer, every time I felt bad for being here in COA's base. Because for me he is the reason why I was here. I was blaming him. Because, just like me who knows how many kids he sold for money. I cursed that officer’s daughter for having good life, but not having for me. Imagining that he sold me for his daughter’s better life, her good. For me his daughter was enjoying there playing with Dolls and I was here playing with Weapons. I was Jealous of her. But all this time she was in the same hell as I.
