Chapter 5 - Offence of Defy
It doesn’t took too much time for us get mixed up in that environment. In just one year we were not same as the first day. That innocence that Smile was gone all we are like clueless about what we are doing is wrong or right. The killed our curiosity. Most of us did everything they said, because we were afraid of our own fears. They made us feel safe there.
It’s a classroom. Annie and others are sitting on the floor. There is slogan written on the wall. “We are born to Punish.” on the other wall "Never disobey Master.” In the class room they are learning the English sentences. Teacher is teaching them from the book. He is Misen, he is language teacher of 7 languages. He is teaching fill in the blanks Questions.
"Next Question. Zen read it" , Misen
"I am going to ___ him. Options - (Kill, Killing, Killed) and answer is kill.", Zen
"Right. Read the sentence again", Misen
"I am going to kill him" Zen read sentence loudly.
They don’t wanted kids to think out of that box. That’s why language learning books are filled with such insanity. Even for the Math learning books are filled with questions like "If you fire 5 bullets out of 15 how many will be remaining?" Time is taught with the images of the timer on bomb.
Annie and kids are learning all these things year by year getting deeper and deeper in that swamp of cruelty without noticing.
It is a usual day of training. All kids are training in the ground with the fake shotguns. They stand in the line before the wooden targets. One Female Officer comes her name is Raymon. She is their trainer of kids for weapons and sward training.
“Today we are going to practice how to handle and fire shotguns, Take these and fire on those Targets” Raymon gives everyone a gun those are fake shotguns with fake bullets.
“But these are fake,” Arif
“Do you think you will be able to pick real one ?” Raymon
Arif doesn’t say anything. “
We are going to start with fake one, when you will improve, we will practice with real one. Now Fire”, She yells at him.
“Anyone who miss will collect these bullets”, Raymon
Everyone fires but they all miss. They look at her.
“That’s why I gave you fake one otherwise you are going to waste them”, now she comes near the Zen.
“Zen, remember what your father did to you”, Raymon comes to Zen. He looks down.
“How he abused you threatened you. Look at me and tell me did he love you?”, Raymon. He looks above.
She looks in eyes and says “No. he hated you. Did he deserves life?”. He was still looking in her eyes.
“No. So You have to punish him for what he did. And you have to protect yourself. Right” She is manipulating Zen. She is trying to create anger inside him.
Then she straightens his hand toward the target. “Imagine it’s your father and fire” Punish him. For what he did to you”, Raymon
He looks at the target.
“Fire” she yells and Zen fires the bullet and it hits shoulder of dummy wooden.
She smiles.” Do it again for the head.”
“Everyone Remember the faces of people who hated you, tried to threaten you, Consider that they are their” she points at the target, and fire”, Raymon
Every one fires again. Everyone’s bullet hit the target.
“So tell me whom you punished?” she asks Annie.
But before she reply someone interrupts them.
“So, how the kids are doing with the practice?” It’s Phillip. Jay and Phillip are back from the jungle with the woods. They interrupt their conversation.
“It’s just 1st day”, Raymon
“When we are going to get real one?” Annie
“You want to use Real one?” It is Albert. He comes near her.
“You will get chance, to prove yourself that you can use It.”, Albert
“With real one”, Annie is eager and excited to use real gun.
“I don’t think she is ready ….” Before jay complete his sentence Albert stops him by just showing hand.
“Shhh... let her check strength, I think she ready.” Albert
Jay is too afraid to talk to him. It is like he know what’s next. Worry and fear is all over his face.
“Get her”, he orders
Two officers comes on the ground they grabs one girl with them. Make her sit on the knee next to the Annie her head is before the Annie. Her mouth is closed with cloth her hands were tightened and she is all helpless. But she is not crying. She looks at jay and Phillip. Both are in shock. Because it’s Taya. No one is having idea how Taya ended like this. She is looking at Jay. Trying to say something. Jay is looking Tense. And suddenly he changes his expressions like he knew this was going to happen one day. He nods his face very slow. It’s like message for Taya. She again looks down. That conversation is very quick like no one notices it. Phillip is in total anger, but he is afraid.
“Punish her and tell us that you are Strong and you are special child.” everyone is looking at them Albert gives Real shotgun in her hand. She takes it, as soon as she takes it her hands lowers because of guns heavy weight. Albert puts her other hand on the gun.
She looks at gun and then to the Taya and then to the Albert.
“But why?” Annie
“What’s our slogan kid?” Albert
“Obey master.”
“She disobeyed. She did more than that. She collected evidence and information against us to betray us. She deserves punishment.” Albert
She looks at her head and keep gun hole on her head. She looks at Jay. He was looking at her. His Eyes are telling her to stop. She takes deep breathe. And she looks at her. She is about to fire.
“I can’t. It’s too heavy to pull the trigger” she lowers the gun. She is trying to avoid it.
“You can.” albert
“I can’t I already have Injury on my finger” she shows her finger. There is small burn on her finger.
“I know it will hurt but pull the trigger.” he yells
Annie now is afraid of the Albert she tried to avoid but it failed.
She looks at the head she gets something in her head she moves little back and fire the bullet by aiming near her head. She fires on the floor to show case that she missed it.
Albert looks at everyone. He was having felling of humiliation on his face. And suddenly Three Guns shots shorten in air.
Albert Fires three bullets. They all were inside her head she fells on the floor. Annie is near her head. All blood gets on her face she is looking at the falling head her ears stopped. She was not able to hear anything around her for like minute.
It is night time Annie is lying on the bed and looking towards the candle.
"Why don’t we just run from here?” Annie
"We can't", Jay
"Why?” Annie
"Earlier it was just about you and me now it’s not we can’t just left any one behind here" Jay
"Zen loves here", Annie
"Earlier you also loved this place and now you want to run same way he is going to learn", Jay
"How?” Annie
"Don't worry he will", Jay
"I am just confused how they got information about Taya", Jay
"Very soon they will know about you and they will ..." Annie
"Stop i am alive that means Taya didn’t tell them about me. But we can’t take risk we have to hide our proofs some place safe", Jay
"They can reach any corner of this place. Just burn them or throw them. We will throw in Tayas room they must think it will be Taya’s ", Annie
“Annie. Don’t be afraid?” Jay
“I am not”, She says but actually she is.
"Fear is just illusion. Until you take look at picture beyond it. If you got that Picture then illusion doesn’t work.” Jay
“Is that picture your goal?” Annie
He nods.
“When I will see it?” Annie
He smiles and says “when you will think from bottom of your heart” Jay.
After 2 months from kids arrived, Taya and Jay were on war. They both were fighting against the Green Desert and they get caught. Green desert is one of those countries which is against the COA.
It’s a military camp. One officer is dialing number he is head of the military camp. “Sir…. It’s urgent” One solider comes inside and says. He puts phone down.
“We talked to teen but they are not ready for judiciary court”
“It doesn’t matter officer they are brainwashed kids. They by themselves don’t know what they are talking. I have seen many like them” Head
“I don’t think sir.”
Head inhales deeply. They leave the camp. Taya and Jay both are sitting on the chair.
“What? You don’t want to go court?” head
Taya and jay both nods.
“Listen you both still are near 18 you can go under judiciary case even if it doesn’t go there are other laws for you that can protect you. There is nothing to worry.”
“It’s not about that…” Taya
Officer raises his eyebrows.
“Two months before they brought the five kids in the camp what about them?” Taya
“We promised them we will take them out of that hell. What about them?” Jay
“Listen is happy that you are getting life. You can’t save everyone”, head
“Either way GOV is going to free us, here now or their after being free we are going to get free sir. But we will go back. They need us”, Jay
“So just let us go back” Taya
Officer thinks and smiles. On that day they both left with one master plan. Their job was to collect proofs and evidence and information that will helpful for them to destroy that one base camp of COA. Even though jay and Taya were not having idea where is their own base camp locate. They have to collect the information and give them secretly in any next war they will fight against Green Desert. In those 3 years they collected few information they were waiting for that chance to meet them again in war. But Taya never got it.
COA caught her listening to their meeting and then they searched her room they found all the evidence and information she collected some of the information was with Jay, They tortured her for why she was collecting it but she didnt gave them information.
