Raavan - 7 - Kaala

Chapter : 7

Ek ajnaabi, hasina se, yun mulaakat ho gayi,
Fir kya hua, ye naa puchho, kuchh aisi baat ho gayi,
Vo achanak aa gayi, yun najar k saamne
Jaise ye jag aaya ghata se chaand
Chehre pe zulfe, bikhri hui thi, din me raat ho gayi,
Ek ajnaabi, hasina se, yun mulakat ho gayi”

“I hope now you will stop this dream game with me” I said. I was walking on beach with a cricket coach. Flow of air coming from sea kissing my chicks and sinking sun was throwing reddish rays on walkway.
“You are playing game within you. You win, you lose, and everything is up to you. Only you have to decide how you want to play” Inner me said.
“Let’s make it clear today. I was living my life few days back just like I am living my life today. I was happy then and I am happy today then why every time you are spoiling my sleep?” I asked.
“I want you to enjoy your life, stop being dead serious about life. Every time we keep focus on result, maybe that’s why we can’t enjoy journey” Inner me said.
“Why do you think that I am not enjoying my life?” I asked.
“Suppose you are going to climb mountain. Your goal is to reach at the top of mountain; you will always keep this target in your mind and start tracking. Now suppose, you use helicopter and directly reach at the top of mountain, in this scenario you will achieve your target but will you enjoy the journey?” Inner me explained.
“I want you to live in present and keep performing your karma, you had asked me few days back about happiness” Inner me spoke.
“Yes” I replied.
“When you feel happy or comfortable, it is the blessing of raatri, night brings solace to all the living being and you will feel comfort. Can you please remind a moment when you were really happy?” Inner me asked. I mused for a while and then looked straight.
“Hard to remind! right!” Inner me spoke, I nodded.
“Kaala”
“The deep dark energy that houses infinite universe, that brings solace to everyone which is necessary for inner peace” Inner me explained.
“Just seat back and think which actually matters to you, and out of thousands of activities, concentrate on those which you can control. Leave every other on time and wait for the result because the process is not in your hand” inner me spoke.
“There are hundreds of things which are not in your control though you keep wasting your time after them. I suggest you work on those things which are in your control and because when you will see your work is changing something then you will get the inner peace which will ultimately bring happiness in you.” Inner me explained.
“How can I control my thoughts? Being specific, repetitive thoughts, I mean there is something which comes in mind again and again…that influence which is not to distract but it is always there to remind something” I asked. Inner me laughed. I waited for answer.
“Why haven’t you asked today about my dress-up? How am I looking being a cricket coach?” Inner me asked.
“You are more a guide than a coach” I replied.
