Constable asked Arun to come to the police station along with Vijay.
When Arun called his HR in the office for getting permission for 2 hrs, since it's a Monday morning, his HR had yelled him like anything.
After receiving all of that, Arun went to the area police station along with Vijay.
The station was filled with criminals, public, and police men here and there. All of them were busy at their work.
When they entered the station, Vijay noticed that, 2 of his 'so called' friends were kneeling down in a corner, without their shirts.
The constable introduced them to the Sub inspector. The SI asked them to sit down.
He looked Vijay up and down, and keenly noticed his injuries. After some formal questions, he once again enquired Vijay, about the incident.
He also asked Arun about his details, and how he got connected with the case.
Then he started saying,
"See, Mr. Arun! We able to catch only 2 of his friends, out of 4 or 5 of them involved. Others were escaped some how. They said, they did this only because, they envied the position and growth of this boy Vijay at their working place. There is no big motive behind this scene. Only for money sake, that too they spent all the money which they retrieved from him. We enquired the owner of the factory, in which all of them were working. He said, they all work by daily wages. So he wouldn't get involve in this issue.
Since the accuests are all adolescent boys, considering their age, I didn't file an FIR and also not willing to proceed to the court.
I suggest, after a strict warning, we could let them go, what do you say?,
After all , we don't have time for this small issues and all, I think you also busy and don't have time to deal with the court proceedings", he finished with a rough tone.
Arun and Vijay looked each other.
Vijay nodded and Arun said that, they would agree the SI's suggestion.
"Ok, then the problem solved",
"you can leave now" SI started doing his work.
Both of them left the station after thanking him.
On their way home, Vijay realized that, the respect, he got from the inspector was, due to Arun. He knew well, if he came alone here, the inspector would never even bothered to make him sit.
He looked Arun, who is sitting beside him, and driving the vehicle quietly.
"You are in trouble, because of me", Vijay said in a worried voice.
"Hey, it's alright man, all in the game, don't worry", Arun replied.
"I can go out and get a job and lead my life without disturbing you", Vijay said slowly.
Arun took a glance at him and his POP, "with this you are going to find a job- who will ready to offer you? Don't think too much man, please be quiet until you get ready from this. Then we'll decide", with that Arun finished the topic and concentrated on the road.
