What do we do?
In most considered and greatly valid current scientific opinions, and observations, we all are here in the process of evolutionary nature, of the entire Universe, and presently we are on the top of the ladder, as homosapiens, and hence human beings; who have far more superior intelligence than any body else in the known Universe, and what is there in the unknown Universe, nobody yet knows.
This single extra feature or inheritance has made all of us as ego-centered people, and we consider ourselves as highly superior species; in fact we are, but we are using this more to establish our selves and rule over the weaker species that is an unfortunate aspect; because we should use this extra ability for the progress of humankind, and also for the protection of other species, rather than their exploitation and destruction of them.
We all the humans are grocely and in some details also, similar to the mammals, i.e. we are mammalian animals, whether we like it or not, we accept or not; it is better to accept this actual fact, as humbly as feasible by our mind, and intellectual judgement.
This will help us to be more honest with our life, and we can then have a practical approach to solving our problems.
Many of animalistic tendencies that we have are inhereted from the process of evolution, because we have, over million of years evolved from a particular kind of animal only.
However, as said earlier, we have an extra feature that also has evolved with us in the process.
So, what do we do with this additional ability? Utilize it properly. It is here only the philosophy can and should help us. This aspect also has evolved with us in our own minds. In most cases we are using this ability to gain happiness, mainly from the worldly pleasures: eating more tasty food, sleeping more, having sex with a partner of an opposite sex, and in the modern times with a partner of the same sex, and accumulation of wealth so that we and our children can live a healthy and happy lives. We have made a tremendous growth in the fields of transportation and communications technologies; but, all this with an aim to have greater happiness, and security for ourselves, and our children; and not necessarily for the protection of the environment.
And in order to realise these and other dreams, we often go out of ways and in the process, we hurt feelings of many innocent people, and kill several animals, and destroy forests, that provide protection to these animals; we in that are not really good people, we are very much selfish.
The 'God' is invented by us only, it is not really true that God has created us. We as humans were growing up in lot of uncertain environment in the beginning, say about 6 million years ago or so, and we got scared, and we did not understand the evolution then, so we pointed upwards to skies and believed that somebody like us, is doing all these, and in the process of time we called him God. This was easy, since our under developed mind could not have thought anything better, and when we looked around us we found, the the Sun was most of the time up in the sky, and there were clouds, and the rains came from up to the downside. Also, when our people were killed, or died, and if we burnt them, the smoke went upwards, so we thought the dead man's 'soul' has gone upwards. Even now when we remember our loved ones who are no more, we point our hands, heads and eyes upwards; in fact this upward is also downwards, and sideways, if we really think that Earth is all the time rotating, and also going around the Sun, once in a year!
We the humans have to do planning, training, learning, data gathering, analyses, decision making, and taking appropriate actions. Ther is no escape from this kind of activity at all.
To realize all these and even more, we need to obtain technical knowledge, social acumen, and for understanding the results of our actions, we need to make recourse to some philosophy.
So, the parents, children, teachers, engineers, scientists, managers, doctors, religion-masters, commonmen, lawyers, and lawmakers should do the following:
1. Learn to accept harsh realities of your profession,
2. Devise plans to solve the problems by using multi-pronged approach,
3. Don't waste time in rituals, rather try to understand the issues on the basis of scientific facts,
4. Transfer your acquired skills and knowledge to others,
5. Don't bias your children or subordinates towards one or other religionic system, let them decide on their own,
6. Also, don't bias them to any system of education, or discipline,
7. Always guide them in their difficult times,
8. Spread the need of virtues of humanity: attention, affection, care, and kindness,
9. Earn money with honest means,
10. Respect the efforts made by others in helping you,
11. Always acknoweledge the work of others, if it was used by you,
12. Spread the message of friendship.
13. Live simple life with high thoughts,
14. Have some goal in life: service to society/communities, taking part in health care system, supporting environmental cause, and the likes.
15. Guide people on the path of righteousness, rather than orthodox dogmas, and outdated conventions.
16. It is better and wiser to follow the scientific route and pure philosophical path, both in required proportions, based on your mental make up, to solve problems, and issues in your life, rather than leaving them to fate, 'God', and totally on any religionic rituals, and thoughts. In entire history of humanity, of thousands of years, the science and pure philosophical thoughts have solved many more problems than any or all religions put together; in fact many religionic concepts are not too valid with our development, and we blindly follow, often undermining the basic needs of our brethren, that are common needs all over the world.
17. A philosopher has told that we should also talk to our house maids and house keeping staff, since they are also human beings with similar needs like ours.
18. Humility and forgiveness are virtues rather than weaknesses.
19. Aggrandise less, utilize what is gained logically, and usefully.
20. Verify everything yourself, analize, and then only put in practice for your own life, for your greater happiness, and joy.
