Hi good morning ..!!
Today m staying in 6 b room as room was provided to stay here during Covid duty. I wake little late and also don't like to wake up as I could not sleep properly due to change of place. Done yoga as my routine then finished breakfast n it was good so I enjoyed it. I feel better here today as no more staff are here n I always like to stay alone.
Today morning it is raining there n such a wonderful weather, n m writing my diary same time. I captured some pics of beautiful weather. My bed is window side as I usually wish n so I can enjoy it. Today many couligues have called to know about duty n all. Today there was lecture regarding donning and doffing. It hv attended it first then went to drink tea and after that joined my duty. I had suggested ICN to separate donning and doffing room. Let see when it will be done. After donning I went in ICU. Today there were 3 patients in ICU and 1 direct admission. As usual it's difficult to work in ppe in starting by gradually we become used to. I had taken nasopharyngeal sample for It Oct but here the problem was to send the sample. Actually we can nor send any papers outside of Covid ICU or ward. So it's mandatory to fill the form from outside or any other ICU and that's why it was too difficult to complete it. For that I had to call many times and I was got tired only because of that. In ppe u are unable to talk much and when it's you have to unnecessarily then we get very irritated. Same situation was there with me. Finally it was completed. Actually it was starting and no proper guidance or no proper arrangement, that's why I had to face all these. In ppe all are looking same and we are unable to identify any one if we don't write our name on ppe. Today it was happened that I could not recognize one consultant and I had to ask him as who was..!! . Today it was turn of Dr hardik from Covid care team. He completed his round. Today is birthday of one Pt named mukeshbhai. Actually I didn't know but suddenly Dr Alok brought a cake - small cake for mukeshbhai n I knew it. We had asked him to cut and celebtared his birthday. At that moment he was very happy and even I felt very happy as at least we could give some happiness to Pt on his birthday and gave him familiar atmosphere. I had taken video of his cake cutting moment and sent to his daughter. I was also surprised by this act of our consultant and we should do and try to give more familiar support in these pandemic. Patient always need treatment for his particular disease but along with it pt must need own mental strength and for that he must need mental support. It's a good thing that hospital allows every Pt to keep personal mobile with him/ her so that Pt can at least video call her family and don't feel alone. Hospital has also provide android phone in every Covid floor so that if Pt is aged and he or she has no phone so we can at least video call his family and communication with family can be possible and if Pt is on ventilator we can show Pt to her family. Mukeshbhai had offered cake to us but we couldn't so we had said to eat alone. After that again one direct admission Pt so I got very late and around 9:30 I went for doffing. After that I went to room and got fresh and it was 10:30 pm, so around it I finished my dinner. Everyday the situation is same and get too late for dinner so no mood to eat and then drink milk and as it is too late I can't write my diary and then go to sleep.
