To Begin with, Let's have a question in mind what is film making?
Everyone thought it is the presentation of the story in the medium of drama or we can say audiovisual form. But, you might be not aware of the process of the journey of mine.
While Going home from a friend's home, I saw a Poster regarding the workshop related to acting I found it very interesting. I start saving money for it but for that, I have to wait a lot. But after a week I got a message that 6000 rs/- credited in your account I was surprised! But, after verifying I got to know that it is the money I got of the govt. scholarship exam which I had given 2 years back. I Joined workshop and learn aspects of acting. I don't have a dream to become an actor but want to always work in a film. That time my acting sir going to direct Hindi film they asked every student to join in the production team the shoot was in polo forest near Idar. I was in the 11 standards and my school and coaching also going on but they let me go there. I surprise to see the film camera the work and quite feeling blessed to get exing experience at a very early age around 15 at that time I also did my first short film with the acting coaching academy named 'Janmdin'. After 7 or 8 days my father called me by saying this your coaching sir is wanted you to come back here in Ahmedabad But, actually, that was my father's idea as he is worried about my schooling. I was in the science stream I got passed. after that in the very first semester, I usually went to lots of audition for acting but I never got selected.
once I got a message regarding audition of play I go there they take my reading session they give nod positively they give me the role of father(priest). The play was written by the Gujarati film's known casting director as well as the director of the national award-winning film 'Hellaro'. It was a show for the charity event we got a very positive response from the audience. Then after I get to know about theater, what is the process of making a play from the script. then after I focused in my college I was living in a hostel and I was commuting for this play from 0hostel. After that, I contacted may people to work as an assistant director in their films. But I Hardly got the answers. then when I was in 2nd semester I got a call from the director of 'Thai Jashe' to work as an assistant director in their upcoming film. for some time I thought to drop out the college as I was considering maybe I never get a chance. But I choose the college first and I am very happy now about my wise decision.
After 1 Year in the mid of 2018, I got a chance to work with the Gujarati film 'Baloooon' as an assistant director. I enjoyed it a lot with the cast and crew members of the film. In Between, I did Plays in my college We got 3rd rank in inter-college youth fest. after the film, I did short films and several streets play in Rajkot, Navsari, and Ahmedabad. I did Play for BJP and Congress both !!! Then after we did play in college and got 1st rank. when the time had passed I went through with lots of work. I worked in the promotional shoot with the team of 'Chaal jeevi Laiye' Film.
The most memorable experience of my film making the journey is undoubted, my fellowship with a yes foundation. I apply for a fellowship in yes foundation I got selected,. I choose Film making domain but, as there is no place left for it they put me in content writing. after doing a request with the management team they allow me to choose film making. I was placed in Drishti NGO I learn camera work, video editing along with scriptwriting for a documentary. The community radio station Radio Nazariya 107.8 is also the part of Drishti. so, I get to know about the process and operation of the radio too. Always will be gladful to Drishti for this. During my fellowship, I made a documentary on the hotly debated subject 'Women Empowerment'. I felt amazing by interviewing courageous females from different fields.
So, It was my short journey regarding my work in theatre and film making.
