Asura webseries review
Direct: - Oni Sen.
Streaming app: - voot
Hello friends, today I will review Mythological Super Crime Thriller Asura aired by online streaming app voot.
We have been taught from an early age that evil and virtue are more or less prevalent in the world. There are people in this world who do bad things along with people who do good things. But the fact is that there is a good human being and a demon hidden in every person.
As the saying goes, you must reap what you have sown.
Although the name of the webseries is asura (demonic), this webseries has proved to be a godsend (deva) for lesser known online platforms like voot.
This webseries begins with a heartbreaking scene. The beginning of the series features a series of murders. In all these murders, two things are mainly the same, one is the mask with the face of a red monster found next to the corpse and the other finger of the severed hand of each deceased. Both of these things point to the fact that these killings taking place in different places are in fact serial killings. Seeing the brutality with which all these murders have been committed, it is certain that your senses will be blown away.
The investigation into the serial murder is being handed over to Dhananjay Rajput, an officer of the CBI forensic team, who, with his knowledge and intelligence about science, has fed the big criminals to jail. A CBI officer named Nikhil, a one-time old aide of Dhananjay Rajput, is also forced to be called from abroad to investigate the case due to the hints given to Nikhil by the serial killer of the murders.
As the investigation into these murders continues, new twists and turns keep coming. All these killings seem to be linked to an event in the past of Nikhil and Dhananjay somewhere. Going forward, there comes a time when Nikhil, who considers Dhananjay Rajput as his guru, goes against him and stands up.
The webseries becomes more dangerous when the serial killer involves the family of Nikhil and Dhananjay in his dangerous game.
When it comes out that the woman who was killed at the beginning of the film by the serial killer is the wife of Dhananjay Rajput, the viewers understand that these murders have been done under a proper planning and Dhananjay has been deliberately dragged into it.
Like Dhananjay, the serial killer plays a similar mental game with Nikhil. The serial killer implicates Nikhil and threatens to kill his family.
At the beginning of each part of the webseries is a glimpse of a case solved by Dhananjay and Nikhil in the past in Benaras, the strings of which are connected with all these murders somewhere.
The past of Shubh, who became a asur in the film, is linked to Indian mythology. A religious father wants to bring the attributes of the gods in his child from birth but the opposite happens and the child becomes a asur. The father's treatment of the child leaves an impression on the child that he has a criminal mindset.
This web series also talks about Kalki, the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and Kali, his enemy.
Nowadays, in the age of webseries, viewers are interested in watching webseries with excellent content. Where Indian webseries covers a stereotypical theme, the content of foreign webseries is quite different. Considering the plot and the sarcastic dialogue, Asura is in fact one step ahead of the foreign webseries.
Who is the asur after all? And what was his relationship with Nikhil and Dhananjay? What is the secret behind becoming a serial killer? You have to watch this webseries to see the answers to those questions.
The end of each part of this webseries serves to increase your curiosity. Every murder is done in a way that reminds you of a Hollywood movie. The planning and plotting of the webseries is also in line with the noble webseries like Hollywood's Game of Thrones, Money Highest.
Becoming Nikhil Nair, Varun Shobati will succeed in winning your heart with his calm and serious gestures. Arshad Warsi's work as Dhananjay is excellent. After seeing Arshad Warsi in such a role, you will be amazed for once that Arshad can also play such roles!
Special Bansal's acting in the serial killer's childhood role is commendable. Bansal, who is auspicious in a very small role, seems to succeed in intimidating the audience with his facial expression and big eye gestures.
Speaking of supporting characters, Anupriya Goenka, who becomes Nikhil's wife Nayana, is doing well. Family fame Sharib Hashmi's performance in the role of Inspector Lolark Dubey is commendable. Rasul Sheikh's Amay Wagh has also managed to grab the attention of the audience. Amaya Wagh is likely to get work in many other films and webseries going forward.
The screenplay of the webseries and the direction of Oni Sen are very beautiful. The background music of asura serves to enliven his scenes. Another creditable aspect of the webseries is the subtle dialogue of the webseries which brings with it a profound meaning and essence. The webseries has a total of eight episodes that are about forty minutes long, meaning barely six hours.
By now you may have fallen in love with the main protagonists of movies and webseries but I guarantee you that the asura's villain will leave an indelible mark on both your heart and mind. If you have time, you can definitely watch this webseries, it is guaranteed to be full of money.
In the last episode of the webseries, you will also find that the second season of this dangerous webseries is coming. I am looking forward to the second season after the first season, it is certain that the same will happen to you.
I give this webseries a rank more than the much-hyped webseries like Sacred Games or Mirzapur. Four and a half out of five stars to this webseries from me.
