Time is precious
A philosophical thought.

Life is not only a one off opportunity but also is short. Hence, we have to make the most of it. Opportunities do not recur. Hence, we need to be utmost alert and grab the opportunities.
Chunk of our time goes astray as we do not plan our day properly. We have to plan today about what is to be done tomorrow. If we postpone the planning itself for tomorrow we will land up nowhere and we will be losing tomorrow.
We come across people saying “I will do it tomorrow”, but that tomorrow will never ever come to them as tomorrow has no end and they will go on postponing on one pretext or the other and are very casual by nature. They squat on excuses. A glaring example of excuses is that of festivals. They resort to uncertain freewheeling opportunism as if in a gambling game. For them life is like a pebble which will remain under water for some time and will again get carried away only when a fresh flow of water comes to push it further off. This is like a car of car festival moves only when it is pushed from behind by using levers or elephant as well as by pulling from the front by people standing on parallel lines using coir ropes. We find many people who are slow and sluggish by nature and who postpone doing things indefinitely. They will not see any progress in their career path. Never ever postpone anything for tomorrow. Tomorrow is always uncertain. We cannot say with 100 % guarantee that we will be alive tomorrow. Hence, the need to do our assigned jobs today itself. Even saint kabir has quoted “ aaj karai tho ab, kal karai tho aaj, pal mein ho jai pralay, bharosa math rakh kal par“ .We have hold only on the present moment. Hence, we should learn to live in the present moment .Thinking about either the past or the future will be of no avail. Past is past that has already happened and is irreversible. There is no point in crying over the split milk. We do not know what God has in store for us. Hence, worrying over the future will also not yield desired results. Hence, do your best and leave the rest to God.
As we witness in our day to day life, time has no value in our society. Thus, we end up with saving minutes and wasting hours as if in a committee meeting.
Today, we cannot talk to people so easily as most of them will be talking over their mobile. They may refrain from talking when they are face to face because of ego problem. Some even pretend to be talking to somebody to show off they are the boss. By the time we get our opportunity to talk to them we will be losing patience and out of sheer exasperation we forget what we had to express.
Even an infinitesimal of a second of time gone is gone forever. We cannot put the clock back. Time is money. Hence, we have to be alert about how we spend our time fruitfully. Time is like water in a river which we cannot touch twice in it’s life time. Time is as precious as potable water and gold or diamond. We can buy a clock but not time.
There is a saying “Time and tide will wait for no man”.
Even if value of time is invaluable, we see people wasting hours as if they had nothing to ponder over. They procrastinate a lot for anything to everything.
Much of our time gets wasted in waiting for buses, in traffic jams etc. That is why people avoid travelling. Advanced information technology has saved much of our time as we can do so many of our daily jobs at the click of a mouse, sitting at home relaxing over an easy armchair.
Our time matters much as we go up the higher echelons of organizational ladder. That’s why we need to prefix appointments to have a talk with people at the helm of affairs.
We are living in a busy, rat racing materialistic world where importance of time need hardly be over emphasized.
Some people pretend to be busy but in reality they waste a lot of not only of their own but also of others. We have to be aware and beware of while dealing with such kind of people.
Some people waste a lot of their time by indulging in gossips. Never ever gossip rather go for “SIP” where you stand to gain.
Smart working has replaced systematic way of working. There are many people who just put the ball in others’ court and just pass the time. Objectives of an organization is accomplished only because of very few people who are rather in the middle and lower levels who strive hard systematically day in and day out irrespective of time or else the return they are getting and helps the firm not only to maintain it’s existing customers but also in fishing new ones.
