The Smile
Rahul was going to meet a girl for marriage first time, feeling nervous, so try to breath deep to be relax. He went out of house and suddenly a hand from behind came to the shoulder with tape. He was Rasik uncle greeting him good evening. Rahul replied to him with no happiness on face allowing to know that he is Super sad. Rahul didn't want to marry that girl whom he was going to meet. She was average looking M.A. cleared girl. Rasik uncle,knowing this from him, said, "Son, never get upset with bad situation." Rahul repied, " It is more like a Failure" Rasik uncle smiled and said, "It is good if you succeed but better if not as Failure comes to give you bigger success than you are expecting for." Getting motivation Rahul started thinking about it. He, thinking for a while, also faithfully considered situation better than expectation. At meeting place he welcomed Nidhi with natural smile and enthusiasm. After a pose he started conversation. He told her about his job as Software engineer as not boring one and about his hobbies. Nidhi with (fake) smiling face listening to him. He after not getting response as expected change the topic asking her to tell about or ask about anything. She as feeling nervous not said much more about her than Rahul already knew. Still Rahul tried to be spontaneous. And suddenly after a little big pose Nidhi seemed to get changed. Her body language was different. She told him that he is not as was expected and she was in love with the guy who is sales personal in car showroom and handsome, dashing. She didn't want to marry him. After that suddenly a boy came having funky red jacket on black shirt with fancy white design on it and bright yellow pant. His hair were like grass. Nidhi introduced him as her boyfriend Dix (Dixshit). And afterwards went with him. Rahul being again depressed thought, "Should I be happy as she is not going to marry me OR sad as she rejected me for that joker." It may be funny if it was film but awkward as real life. Thinking about that he returned home where a crowd of neighbour were waiting for him. All neighbours told him to go to Sumit uncle's house. Sumit uncle, Pushpa and Ramila aunt and his mom & dad were in main room of Sumit uncle's house. Radha (Sumit uncle's daughter) was in bedroom were doctor was also there. Rahul having fast hartbeats try to ask what happened. All people was looking at Rahul like he has committed a big crime. It was making Rahul more nervous. Rahul's mom said, "Radha had cut her hand." "Why" he asked. "Because of you",she replied. Rahul got shocked out. His mom continued,"She is loving you and when she knew about you going to meet another girl she can't bear it and took this step." He was listening with big eyes. Then suddenly Radha's father Sumit uncle came in front of Rahul with begging hand to accept Radha as his wife. Rahul always wanted to marry Radha. Radha also seems to like Rahul from her smile she used to give whenever see Rahul but when a month ago she accepted a marriage proposal so that Rahul agreed to see girls for marriage and he also never had courage to say to anyone about his love so made up his mind to forget Radha and marriage with her. Rahul was in thought of Rasik uncle's advice and understood the real life experience of it. He smiled and touch the feet of Sumit uncle saying, "OK uncle as you wish." Sumit uncle listening that hugged him saying, "Call me 'DAD' son, thank you so much." All were greeting one another and Rahul went to bedroom where Radha was smiling looking at him. He asked, "Why the hell you took this step." Radha replied with smile, "You dumb if I didn't have done this "Fake" drama then how dad would have got ready for our marriage." "Fake?" Rahul asked. "Yes, fake. I love you but had fear that dad will not accept this as we have different cast so unwantedly got ready to marry Naman (the boy with whom her marriage got decided a month ago) but later on feel very sad for taking this wrong decision and yesterday when mom saw me crying understood the reason for that. She knewn that dad is not fully against intercast marriage but have fear of society not easily going to be ready for marriage. That's why she planned this whole drama and included doctor in it and then create whole situation with neighbours and specially your mon & dad to convince dad for marriage and see plan worked." Rahul after a while for getting out from shock of this awkward situation saw Radha and then her mom at door smiling at him. He also now replied smile to both ladies and all three secretly started laughing at situation. What a drametic {filmy style} story !!
The Court Marriage
Aditya and Preeti don't want to do marriage in traditional style. They also don't want morden marriage but want to do court marriage. Why? Because they both don't like this type of wastage of money but they knew that their parents will not agree.
"When I asked for laptop Dad considered it unnecessary, now to spend lakhs for three days wedding is worth it for him and he tell me that I need to be mature." Aditya said to Preeti in his angry but cute style. Preeti smiled and then try to think for solution. They have tried a lot think about it from last couple of months. They were lucky that time decided for marriage was few months later so they still have time.
Aditya decided to just straight away talk to his parents about this instead of any stupid act and then he react as per situation demands. Aditya told Preeti his decision asking her permission. She was also helpless as no one way was there in her mind, too so she allowed him. Aditya asked Preeti to come with him but refushed as she was scared by his dad. Aditya, " Don't worry Preeti. I am with you. If anything goes wrong I will put you ahead for my protection." She got surprised with the wittiness Aditya showed in this serious situation. She understood that Aditya is ready for this completely. Then both went to Aditya's house.
After reaching home Aditya started shaking a little. Preeti pinched him as if asking if frightened now why tried to show courage before. He got this woman's reaction and try to be relax and confident. After entering in house Savitaben with surprise welcomed the upcoming daughter in law with smile. And with sign of eyes asked Aditya the reason for coming with his future wife at home inspite of going to cinema, garden or mall. Aditya's eyes were searching his dad and then a grand entry of Mr.Bhanuprasad from bedroom happened to the main room. "The smile on his face was going to disappear after listening the my decision" thinking Aditya. Without wainting for moment Aditya decided to tell and be ready for reactions.
"Dad we want to do court marriage." Aditya said quickly yet clearly. His dad laugh amd said," Don't hurry this much son. We will have a proper wedding of you soon." Aditya got that his dad didn't get it. He again explained, "Me and Preeti have decided to not do the traditional wedding and just do court marriage as it is wastage if money." "Wastage if money ! Huu..??" his mom asked. "Wastage Off... money." he replied. Dad stared at son as he has asked all the property as compensation of getting married. After a quick silence Dad said, " OK." The silence continued. He repeated answer but silence didn't break and then he slept Aditya after which Aditya considered it true and happily hugged his dad with shock and a doubt still in mind. Preeti also conforming the answer asked, "Aren't you upset that we don't want to marru traditionally?" Bhanuprasad replied, "Not at all. It is good that you respect money and try to save it. And actually I am surprised that my stupid boy took this brave and smart decision. It must be your idea Preeti, doesn't it?" "No no, firstly Aditya told me about this which I also had in my mind. So we both decided the same."
Now the couple had won the half war and rest seems to be easy one as girl's father would be more happy as lots of his money now be saved and can be used for future of his children and also a little for his retirement.
Without wasting time they went to the Preeti's house. Same procedure of reaction of mother and father followed in Preeti's house but now Preeti was spokesperson. She told that decision to them but she didn't repeat the mistake of " if-of " . Still the silence was same but longer and here dad changed the answer, " No I cannot agree on this stupid decision."
'Dad change answer change !'
Aditya shocked, " What ? Is he gone..., I mean Why ?" Preeti angrily looked at Aditya quickly and looked at Father again asking the reason for same. Jagatbhai replied, "Don't you get that it will totally ruin my image in front of society as just to save money I agreed at my one an only daughter's court marriage." Preeti tried to covince him and also asked her mother to say something to him but Nirmalaben was also helpless as she didn't able to convince hef own self how can she convince her husband. Aditya with expressionless face watching this whole drama and thought "This is more wierd than I thought. My own dad got convinced the chance of which was like India getting corruption free in ten years and Jagat uncle ,a sweet innocent old guy, is not agreeing on this wounderful scheme which every Girl's father dream about. What is the real problem." Then he called his dad which he proudly said before, "Don't worry dad Preeti and I will manage the situation there." thinking now, " Not a single chance I got to show off my skill against dad, what a lucky charm am I ?"
Dad came with mom and with the entry gave a rude smile to Aditya asking, "Who was going to handle the situation?" Aditya with lonely face lokked at floor and then requested with eyes to handle the situation.
Now Savitaben went to Nirmalaben and Bhanuprasad came in front of Jagatbhai. Both where meeting happy till now but recoed breaked and Jagatbhai started coversation just with straight question, "What is this all now Bhanubhai? Why Aditya is asking for court marriage instead of traditional one."
Bhanubhai: Because they can save money.
Jagatbhai: Save money?
Bhanubhai: Yes save money.
Jagatbhai: Bhanubhai please don't give me this nonsence reason. There must br something else.
Bhanubhai: It is the sensible and real readon for the decision.
Jagatbhai: Then I cannot accept it.
Bhanubhai: Why?
Jagatbhai: You at least don't ask why. As father of daughter how can I allow this and especially when I have enough money to spend. What will be my reputation in society?
Bhanubhai: So this is all about the reputation.
Jagatbhai: Yes and probably should understand me.
Bhanubhai: Yeah I am understanding you. I am understanding that you consider your daughter nothing but piece of cup to be used to show off as winning trophy you have for sone achievement.
Jagatbhai: What?
Bhanubhai: Yes, of course. Why otherwise anyone will spend a planty amount of money which may be savings of more thann10 years. Just to show off that you love your daughter so much that you spend all your savings in stupid 3-4days celebration where e eryone now just focus on menu of food and gifts they going to get and never ever even recognize that there is decorato and other stuff too in which money in wisely(unwisely) used, which we call marriage.
Jagatbhai shocked and remain silent for a full one minute. All other where also looking Bhanubhai with strange looks. Aditya was just going to clap as if his dad finished a speech in award function but suddenly after realizing his mistake stoped in half of clap.
Bhanubhai understood the reality and smiled at Bhanubhai with nodding head. Bhanubhai with reply of smiled hugged Jagatbhai. Both ladies also hugged with tears in eyes. Aditya also going to hug Preeti but after sight of his father on him turned to his father's direction and huggef him. All people laughed at sudden and hear the happy ended.
I means Happy endings started.
