વર્ષ હતું ૧૯૮૫નું અને શ્રી દેવરાવ કોલ્હે ત્યારે ઇન્ડીયન રેલ્વેમાં જોબ કરી રહ્યા હતા. તેમનો દીકરો રવીન્દ્ર, નાગપુર મેડીકલ કોલેજમાંથી એમબીબીએસ કરી રહ્યો હતો. બધા જ આ યુવાનના, ભણતર પૂરું કરીને ફરીથી પોતાને ગામ 'શેગાંવ' પાછા ફરવાની વાટ જોતા હતા. હા, રવીન્દ્ર આ ગામનો સૌથી પહેલો ડોક્ટર બનવાનો હતો. પણ ઘરમાં કોઈનેય જરા સરખો ય ખ્યાલ નહોતો કે તેમનો દીકરો મેડીકલની ધમધમતી પ્રેક્ટીસ છોડીને જીવનનો કોઈક સાવ અલગ જ રસ્તો પસંદ કરવાનો હતો. . ડો. રવીન્દ્ર કોલ્હે મહાત્મા ગાંધી અને વિનોબા ભાવેની ચોપડીઓથી ગજબનો પ્રભાવિત થઇ ગયો હતો.
