જો લગ્ન-જીવન ટકી જવાનું કારણ ફક્ત પ્રેમ જ હોત તો હમણાં સુધી મારા પચાસવાર છુટા-છેડા થઇ ચુક્યા હોત.....કારણ એજ કે પ્રેમ સાપેક્ષ હોય છે, પરોક્ષ હોતો નથી. આઇન્સ્ટાઇને સમય માટે જે થિયરી આપી તે જ પ્રેમને પણ લાગુ પડે છે. પ્રેમ નિરંતર કે એકધારો હોતો નથી. સમય, સંજોગો, મૂડ, મુજબ તે વધતો-ઘટતો રહે છે. સંકોચાય છે, સુકાય છે, મરોડાય છે, ખેંચાય છે, ફરી પાંગરે છે....... ટકી જવા માટે ફરજો, જવાબદારીઓની મજબૂત રસ્સીની જરૂર પડે છે. જે નિરંતર અને એકધારી હોય છે. તેને પ્રેમ સાથે કશું લાગતું-વળગતું નથી.
