પછી આ મંદિરમાં વાઘોના અનાથ બચ્ચાઓને આશરો મળવા લાગ્યો. ગ્રામીણો પણ જ્યાંથી પણ વાઘના અનાથ બચ્ચા મળે તેને લાવીને મંદિરમાં મૂકી જતા હતા. તે પછી આ મંદિરમાં વાઘોની સંખ્યામાં સારો એવો વધારો થઈ ગયો. તેથી લોકો તેને ટાઈગર ટેમ્પલ નામથી ઓળખવા લાગ્યા. આ સમયે ટાઈગર ટેમ્પલમાં 150 વાઘ છે. દરેક વાધની સૌથી મોટી વિશેષતા એ છે કે તેને બૌદ્ધ ભિક્ષુઓ દ્વારા એવી રીતે તાલિમબદ્ધ કરવામાં આવે છે કે તે માનવીઓની સાથે હળીમળીને રહેવા લાગે છે.
