યોગેશ પંડયા વાત એક માની મમતાની પિતાજી નવી માને પરણીને ઘરમાં લાવ્યા એ તો એને જરાય ગમ્યુ નહોતું. નવીમાએ લાલ પાનેતર પહેરીને ઓસરીમાંથી ઓરડામાં ઓરડામાંથી રસોડામાં હળવે હળવે આંટો મારી લીધો. પછી તો રોજે રોજ નવી નવી સાડી, સાડલા પહેરીને આખા ઘરમાં ઘૂમ્યા કરતી ને પિતાજી એની પાછળ ઘૂમ્યા કરતા. એ નવી માના ચહેરા સામે જોતો. આમ તો પરાણે જોવાઈ જતું. તો નવી માના કાળા ભમ્મર મોટા મોટા ડોળા બિહામણા લાગતા. એ હાથ ફેલાવી ને કહેતીઃ ''ભોલું, આને અહીં. મારાથી દૂર દૂર કેમ ભાગે છે?'' તો એ દૂર હટી જતો. એક વખત ઘરમાં કોઈ નહોતું. પિતાજીય બહાર ગયેલા ને એ
