સૌના ચહેરા ગમગીન હતા . બધા સ્તબ્ધ બનીને રણછોડકાકાના પાર્થિવ દેહને નિહાળી રહ્યા હતા . હવે થોડી જ વારમાં આ કોફીન ઈલેકટ્રીક સગડીમાં ભસ્મીભૂત થઇ જવાનું છે . દિકરો નરેન્દ્ર રડતી આંખે પપ્પાને આખરી વિદાય આપી રહ્યો હોય એમ અનિમિષ નજરે પપ્પાના કોફીનમાં ઢાંકી રાખેલા દેહને નિહાળી રહ્યો હતો . ત્યાં હાજર રહેલા સૌની આંખો ભીની લાગતી હતી . વાતાવરણમાં એક અજબ પ્રકારની ઉદાસીનતા છવાઈ હતી . સૌ એકદમ ચૂપચાપ રીતે આ બધુ નિહાળી રહ્યા હતા . અને ઇલેકટ્રીક સગડીને ઓપરેટ કરનાર ઓપરેટર અંતિમ વિધિ શરુ કરે તેની રાહ જોતા બેઠા હતા .
