દિવાળીનો તહેવાર નજીકમાં છે. દરેક ઘરમાં દિવાળી કામ પૂરજોશ માં ચાલી રહ્યું છે.દીવાળી નજીક આવતા ઘરનો ખૂણે ખૂણો સાફ કરવો એવો ગૃહિણી યુનિયન નો વણલખ્યો નિયમ છે. જેમાં કોઈ ફેરફારની શક્યતા નથી. દરેક ઘરની બહાર ખાટલામાં ગાદલા, ગોદડા, ચાદર તપવેલા જોવા મળશે. ઘરના દરેક નાના મોટા સભ્યોને એને લાયક કામ સોંપાઈ ગયા હોય છે. અને ઘરના પુરુષો પણ બની શકે એવી નાની મોટી મદદ કરતા હોંશે હોંશે કરતા હોય છે. બીજું કંઈ વધારે નહીં તો વેરવિખેર થયેલા ઘરમાં વસ્તુ આઘી પાછી કરીને પોતાનો રસ્તો તો કરી જ શકે કે પછી "આજે ટિફિન લેતો આવીશ, જમવાનું નહીં બનાવતા" આવું નાનું મોટું
