અરે માળિયા પરથી બંબો ઉતાર. કાળો થઈ ગયો છે. દિવાળી પર એકવાર ઘસીને સાફ કરવો પડે! કામવાળી બાઈનું મોઢું બગાડ્યું પણ ઘસ્યા વગર છૂટકો ન હતો. બંબો ઉતાર્યો અને આમલી તેમજ પાવડર લઈ ઘસવા લાગી. જો કે હવે આવા સંવાદો સાંભળવા બહુ મળતા નથી. માનસી સાસુમાની વાત સાંભળી રહી. આજે રજાનો દિવસ હતો. ઘરે હતી એટલે સાસુમાની વાત સાંભળ્યા વગર છૂટકો પણ ન હતો. તેને મનમાં થયું આના કરતા તો નોકરી સારી. આરામથી ખુરશીમાં બેસીને કામ કરવાનું. હવે જોકે આવા સંવાદ સાંભળવા મળતા નથી. કેટલી દિવાળી જોઈ? ન ગણીએ તો પણ ભૂલી ન શકાય. ઊંઘમાં પણ આ સવાલનો જવાબ ક્યારેય
