એક સુંદર મજાનું જંગલ હતું. આ જંગલમાં ઘણા બધા પ્રાણીઓ હળી-મળીને રહેતા હતા. આ પ્રાણીઓમાં એક વાંદરાભાઈ, તેની પત્ની વાંદરીબેન સાથે એક ઝાડ પર રહેતા હતા. તેઓને એક બાળક હતું, જેનું નામ હતું ટપલું. ટપલું ખૂબ જ તોફાની હતો. તેને બીજાની મસ્તી કરવાની મઝા આવતી. તે અવારનવાર કંઈક ને કંઈક મસ્તી કરતો અને મુશ્કેલીમાં મુકાતો હતો. માતા-પિતા ખૂબ સમજાવે, પરંતુ ટપલુંભાઈ તો ના સમજે. એક દિવસ તે પોતાના મિત્રો સાથે રમવા નીકળે છે. રમતા-રમતા જંગલમાં તેઓ ઘણાં દૂર પહોંચી જાય છે. આ જગ્યા પર એક સિંહ રહેતો હતો. તેઓ જુએ છે કે ત્યાં સિંહ સૂતેલો છે. સિંહને જોઈને ટપલુંનાં બધાં
